| Bottom Line: | I didn't think I would ever stop riding my Seven, but the balance and efficiency of this bike make it irresistible. Unfortunately it came with a bit of metal in the frame. Ada bike shop temporarily fixed it with some foam spray. Cannondale kindly agreed to replace it but it was the last one before the carbon frames came out, so they are going to replace it with that. Kudos to Cannondale for incredible customer service. Besides having to clean the brakes all of the time, this bike is perfect for cross country riding and can handle some downhill. As an added bonus, my back doesn't get sore after riding this bike like it used to. |

| Bottom Line: | This bike is the mountain bike. IF you can only have one bike this si the one. I can race this bike one day then take it to the local dirt jumps or skate park the very next. The lefty is as always amazing and with the Fox RP3 there is no bob when hammering on the flats or up a climb. I have even takent his bike out to some local road group rides. I have raced this bike with some really good results and at the end of each race my body feels so fresh. Plain and simple, this bike makes you smile everytime you throw your leg over the top tube. i don't know how cannondale did it but the geometry always seems perfect no matter what style of riding I am doing. The team model may be a little pricey for some but the great thing about the Rush is you get the same frame all along the model line. |

| Strengths: | Well thought out geometry, solid construction, excellent finish on welds. The main pivot on this bike is super beefy -- no flex to be had here, and it shows when you point the bike through some rocky stuff -- it just stays the course. The suspension on this bike is simply amazing. Once you have gotten the air pressure and the thresholds set for your liking, this bike climbs and descends with equal ease. The Lefty has Fox internals, and it performs like the Fox Terra Logic forks, but with the benefits of having a lefty -- awesome. I'm a big fan of Hope products, and I have been really happy with the brakes -- the 180mm in front is just enough to give you the extra power and modulation needed for slightly heavier riders (I'm 190lbs). The stock Magura Marta's are also awesome, I just happen to prefer the Hope brakes, mostly because of the feel of the levers and the construction of the calipers. One big thing on this bike that I think Cannondale did an excellent job on was the main pivot. It uses a large pivot bolt (around 20mm diameter), and high quality cartridge bearings. This makes for smooth, silent suspension action that will last a long time and give you no headaches. Way better than multi-pivot designs, IMHO. No suspension feedback while pedaling over rocky sections either, another common misconception about single pivot designs. |
| Weaknesses: | Shipped with a 128mm SI BB, instead of the 131mm that it is supposed to, so there were a few problem getting the FD to not rub in the small chainring and the two easiest gears in the back. C-Dale is sending out a new BB spindle and this should be taken care of. Other than that, this bike is everything I could ask for in a 110mm travel bike -- light, stiff, excellent on all types of trails. |

| Bottom Line: | This bike kicks ass. I've customized my quite a bit, but the main things about the bike -- frame, fork, suspensions are simply spot on. The bike feels so solid and stable while descending rocky fireroads, yet feels quick and light in tight technical single track. With the Pro-Pedal rear shock, it also climbs very well with no noticeable bob. The crankset on this bike is super stiff, and combined with the oversized BB, BB shell, and super stiff main pivot, the whole bike just responds as you tell it, with no delay or flexiness. I haven't weighed my bike as it is, but my guess is around 24-25 lbs. Buy this bike if you have $5000 to throw down on a bike that will perform exactly as you want it, take a beating, fly downhill, and fly uphill. If you like to do everything with one bike, this is the bike to get. |

| Bottom Line: | Wow- a great ride and aptly named bike. Sort of a mix between Prophet and Scalpel, quick and agile yet able to take the rough stuff. Had her out today on some decent rolling XC trails and she was extremely fast and soaked up bumps like a champ. I had a couple of joggers jumping out of their pants as I came up from behind. The specs are awesome on this bike, no need to change a thing. Very active suspension yet not noticeable to the point of weakness. Very little pedal bob. Cannondale got it right here, the Rush probably would be the perfect "sole" bike for my riding tastes, that is mainly light mountain and lots of XC. If this describes you, give this bike a try-you wont be dissapointed. Cheers! |
