    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $2350.00
    Purchased At:deanbikes.com
Strengths:No chain growth rules! Incredible climber and great descender...just about eveything else.
    Weaknesses:None yet
Similar Products Used:GF Sugar, Ellsworth Id, Turner Burner and a host of others
Bike Setup:Custom geo with custom paint...perfect fit!
Bottom Line:Bottom line is that this bike rules. It's the best ridign bike I've ever owned. The climbing is unreal and the Pushed Talas up front makes it great on teh DH's as well. It certainly feels like more than 3" of travel. I haven't found a trail it can't concur yet. I was told 8 weeks when I ordered it and 8 weeks and 1 day later it was on my doorstep.

To quote Ferris Bueller: "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

    Price Paid: $1500.00

Strengths:Light, Great Climber, NO CHAIN GROWTH ISSUES. You notice the no chain growth issues when climbing over rocks. The RP3 matches the supension design prefectly. I use the soft/med settings. I never use the stiff platform setting.
Weaknesses:With 3' rear travel, its compares to my Racer-X / Maverick on the downhill sections.
Similar Products Used:Maverick (sold), Racer-X(still have), Ti Hardtail(still have)
Bike Setup:SRAM, Vanilla R (replaced my F100 Pushed), XT crank, CK Wheels.
Bottom Line:Great for Techincal Climbs, Efficent, and Rare.... I live in the foothills of Colorado so its either up or down. Unable to comment on the ACE as a Cross Country Bike. I just replaced my F100 Pushed with an 06 Vanilla R. The Vanilla is just down right evil on the downhills with just a little extra blob on the uphills. Defintitely worth 0.5lb gain. With Vanilla R, bike weighs ~ 25.9lbs I feel the ACE compares to my RX.

Submitted by Jim a Racer from Loveland, CO
    Date Reviewed: March 6, 2005
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $2000.00
    Purchased At:Deanbikes.com
Strengths:This is a light and responsive ride. I can't get over how well this bike climbs and descends. Feels very lively under me.
Weaknesses:None so far. I had great service, took about six weeks (not bad for a custom)
Similar Products Used:Previous bike was a Blur, almost identically set up bit with an RLC
    Bike Setup:XT build, F100X, Jones H-bars
Bottom Line:I bought this bike to be a 24 hour solo race bike. I can't wait for the first race. It is light and responsive. Looks very sexy out on the trail, something about bare metal. Descend just as good as my blur with 1" less travel. Climbs way better. Climbing on the blur I always felt like I was fighting the VPP when trying to lift my front end over things. With this bike, climbing ledges is like nothing.
