Worst tire ever on my bike. This is the only product from Specialized that SUCKS! I would not recommed these tires to anyone. They were even worse than the WTB Velopciraptors and they really sucked.

Tubeless Sucks! Friend got a flat & it took an 1 hour with 3 grown men, 5 broken tire irons, 3 flat tubes, only to finally surrender & walk the bike out 3 miles with a flat. What a nightmare! Manufactures might want to change their marketing campaign & start pushing $100 tire irons with any tubeless tire purchase. DO NOT RECCOMEND!

I can not believe the reviews i see below. Strictly as an XC race tires these are the best there is. They roll faster, corner harder, have better traction, are lighter than any XC race tire i have used so far. I used these for all around trail riding all the time, but I realize they are racing tires and can not be compared to or ridden like a big knobbied trail tire.Air leakage, mounting ease, and patchabilities should be non-issues when reviewing UST tires because they are issues more associated with the abilities of the end user or shop mechanic or the wheelset than the tire it self.

Loses air quicker than other tubless I've used. Also wears quickly. Not good for day in day out riding-at all.

Bottom Line:
Good for race day, but not much else. They wear very quickly and lose air fast-not fast enough to flat during a race, but quicker than other tubless I've used. As their intended purpose is racing, I'm going to rate them on that. For day to day riding/training, stay away, but if you throw them on your bike on race day I think you'll appreciate the good rolling resistance, decent traction, and light weight. Again, my 4 chilis is for racing. Oh, and Abe, when you flat with a tubeless on the trail, try putting in a tube. Don't rate a product based on not knowing how to properly repair it.

I got these tires simply because they went with the Specialized frame I got. I guess price influenced me and thought I was getting value for money. Everything was fine until I got a puncture with this (type of) tire. First of all getting the thing off the rim without using tire levers. Next once it's all patched up getting it back on again (without tire levers). The final insult is having to pump it back up again only to hear the air slowly leak out again. Now I tried doing all this from the comfort of my own home and I can't help thinking that if I was out out cycling, I'd have to hope I was near some bike repair shop or I'd be walking home. Don't know if it's the manufacturer or the whole tubeless thing, but I think this tire/technology is only good if you have your own pit crew following you around. If you don't want major hassles getting this tire fixed when you're out and about then I wouldn't recommend this tire/technology.

I'm 180# and ride hard. Maybe I needed more than 35 psi to handle the rocky WV terrain. Blowing out an expensive tire really sucks!

First ride, flat. While fixing the flat with an inner tube, I noticed a lot of the knobs were already torn off. ONE RIDE. Traction is almost non-existant. I love Specialized products, have used their tires for years, but these just suck!

Bottom Line:
I'm really pissed with the results from these tires. First, they dont hold very well especially in lose conditions (but then again what tire does? Any suggestions?) Second, combined with the Mavic Crossmax 2Bliss wheel set, after four rides they have been flat twice. Just delfated. Any suggestions to what I can do to solve this probelm? I give this product overall a 1 long hot floater!
