Date Reviewed: September 22, 2006
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $26.00
Purchased At:Actionbikes
Strengths:Predictable steering and doesn't wash-out like so many American brands. Excellent traction in sand, mub and on hardpack. Good traction over roots. I keep climbing trials that have previously defeated me with other tyres on the bike.
Weaknesses:Wired tyre is a bit heavy but the ride makes up for this
Similar Products Used:Specialised Team Master/Pro, Michelin Wildgripper
Bike Setup:Scott Genius, XTR except XT crankset, Mavic 717 on Hope ProII
Bottom Line:Superb value for money for a do everything tyre that rides well in all UK trail conditions. They have yet to let me down. I don't jump or freeride but as a XC tyre these are great.

Strengths:Good grip, good cornerfeeling
Weaknesses:Not the lightest tyre
Similar Products Used:Hutchinson Python
Bike Setup:Cannondale F2000 SL with XT-crank, Thomson seatpost, SLR, crank brothers
Bottom Line:Good and payable tire with a good grip, also in wet conditions, especially as a front tire !

Date Reviewed: September 14, 2004
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $40.00
Purchased At:Bikecity
Strengths:Traction, cornering, strong sidewalls, patchable, holds air !!!!
Weaknesses:At the back it seams to wear out quit quickly. Too narrow for a 2.1"
Similar Products Used:None, my 1st UST.
Bike Setup:ETS-X70, Mavic CrossMax Enduro wheels.
Bottom Line:I was worried about the quality of tubeless tires, it seemed to me that just few can hold air for a long time without sealant. These tires were perfect for 3 months until I picked the 1st puncture (too low pressure). I patched from the inside and I put the Eclipse sealant.
The best thing I appreciate of these tires is to ride downhill at just 1.5bar (22psi) with a great held !!!!
Next set would be the Big Jim 2.25".
