Favoriate Trail:Aliso Woods, Laguna Canyon Wilderness, Whiting RAnch to Old Camp down to Luge. Old San Juan trail
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $30.00
    Purchased At:amazon bikes
Strengths:Light, fast rolling, it corners pretty good on hardpack grounds, it sheds mud better compared to the other fast rolling UST tires.
Weaknesses:none so far at this time.
Similar Products Used:Hutchinson new generation python ust
Bike Setup:06 Anthem 1. Mixture of sram x.o and 'o7 xtr's. The rest are race face deuce, next, cross mavic sl and hayes 9 carbon.
Bottom Line:I was leary replacing my Hutchinson python but I was not happy with the tires' performance due to the recent rains and storms. It does not perform well on wet or muddy grounds, so I put it away until next summer. My local LBS suggested these tires ( Nokian NBX lite 2.0 Ust )for wet and rainy season. They mounted it on. It took them awhile to have the tires seal around the Cross max Mavic's rims. They added 2 scoops of Stan's liquid in it and voila!!! It seated on the rims. They put 50 psi in it initially to make sure it will remain sealed. It rained her in So Cal this Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Monday we hit the trail. It was 70 percent dry but portions were still wet and muddy. I let out some of the air so all the center knobbies will bite on the ground. I was expecting some leaks or " burps " from the tires' lips because they were not ridden in a low psi, yet but it held its pressure under 40 psi for the duration of the ride. 16 miles with a total of 2100 feet of climb. It performed well. It climbed well on a semi wet steep hill and it cornered very good on fast downhill switchbacks.

I guess the harder to put the tires on the rims the better it seals. The ride with these tires went well just more than I expected. Highly recommendable for x-country riders who likes all purpose light tires.

    Favoriate Trail:route 2000
    Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Lightweight for a UST tire (680grams), very low rolling resistance, good traction and excellent cornering on all surfaces except mud.
Weaknesses:First pair i got leaked air from the edges(1-2 bars in a day). The second pair i got as a replacement from manufacturer held up air much better( under 0,5 bars air leak from the edges a day as new). After riding off road about 500km in 6 months noticed increase in leaking air.Checked tires spraying soapy water on them:counted 15 very small holes in rear and 3 in front tire!!!The tires did not look specially worn out,not even the rear.So very poor puncture resistance. Also in muddy and sticky conditions the treads tend to glock up easily.
Similar Products Used:Hutchinson python UST.A definate dry condition tire not suitable for wet and slippery conditions where i ride.
Bike Setup:Sunn neuro comp full susp frame, mavic crossroc ust wheels, formula B4 disc brakes, marzocchi mx comp air 100mm fork, sid xc rear shock,xt/deore mechs.
Bottom Line:This would be a excellent allround xc racing, training ,marathon tire, if nokian added a decent puncture resistant layer on them and improved quality control(the leaking tire edges).
