    Date Reviewed: July 27, 2008
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $850.00
    Purchased At:pedal power, woodsto
Strengths:the frame, brakes, crank, stem and bars( but are impostible to get clean), and headset
Weaknesses:the fork is really heavy as well as the tires, the rims are total crap I bent them in the first week I had the bike(switch with a them with atomlab p!mp)also the grips ware out vary fast
Similar Products Used:p.2,3 ,stp, norco 250
Bike Setup:p.1 without front breake(sugested) and with jagwar cables, with atomlab p!mp in the back
Bottom Line:the bike is well worth the money, the new 2009 p. series bikes are made lighter that the old ones, the old one are still awsome with acouple upgrades that bike is one of the best

Strengths:this is one tough bike. its more than i need. i commute and play on it, and with proper lube and cleaning its indestructable.it handles great to.
Weaknesses:its heavy in steel. some cheap parts.
Similar Products Used:kona stinky, other xcountry bikes
Bike Setup:stock but i plan on replacing the cheap parts as i break them . no biggie.
Bottom Line:this bike is the most fun i have had for the $ i think i could get in bike.single speed keeps things simple and the gearing is as good as it gets. i didnt think i would be commuting on it but its that good.get this bike.

Favorite Trail:dirt jumps down the street
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $735.00
    Purchased At:all the right gears
Strengths:awesome bike, great frame, a little heavy but great geo, amazing part spec considering the price. single speed is great, and perfect gear ratio for me to.brakes are great quaiity, forks are pretty good, only a little heavy, and the 2008 paintjob is amazing!!!!

Weaknesses:i've heard the rims bend pretty easy, and the tires weight as much as a fright train. get some swalbe table tops, or kenda small block 8's and it'll be fine.

Similar Products Used:norco wolverine, norco rival, norco havoc, p2 crmo
Bike Setup:2008 stock setup, soon to have swalbe table top tires, atomlab lite rims, and next year to save a little weight i might get some odessy wombolt cranks.

Bottom Line:great bike, buy it, but make sure that the cost of new rims are in your budget becuz its a guarranty that they will bend to the point u cant ride it.so amke room for 100-200$ for some upgrades overtime and it'll be perfect! the geo is so awesome i did my first wheelie ever first try!! pretty long to, i'd have to say 20ft. and on the jumps it handles even better, i've been dirtjumping for about a month almost now and can already do a no footer, one hander, tristar, and working on a few others all becuz this bike makes everything i try so effortless. overall buy this bike now!!!! but be sure to have 200$ tucked away for future necessary upgrades like rims.this bike hanles and performs as well as a bike worth twice as much. and the frame is a bombproof tank that can take anything, and the steel also absorbs more vibrations than aluminum.i'll post back in a few months to see if the rims lived up to there less than outstanding reputation.

    Favorite Trail:Palm Desert
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $530.00
    Purchased At:Palm Desert Cyclery
Strengths:The bike itself and the price.
Weaknesses:The only thing I can think of is when ever I land a big drop, my ass hits the back tire. Its my fault, so its not really a weakness.
Similar Products Used:GT Moto, Azonic Steelhead, Specialized P.2, Cannondale chase 3
Bike Setup:Neon green lizard skin grips and a tan odyssey seat.
Bottom Line:Okay, I got this bike yesterday and have only ridden it for about four hours. They were a really hard four hours though. I took 5-6 ft. drops, 8-9 ft. gaps, and it handled them perfectly. No flex, NO NOTHING. I love this freakin thing. This is actually my first singlespeed mountain bike. I really don't want to go back to gears. It has perfect gearing for me, so its perfect in general.

Strengths:great solid frame, next to indestructable, good feel and weight, great for hucking, good for beginning or advanced dirtjumpers/urban riders, as it's a simple bombproof ride, next to no maintenance required other than cleaning
Weaknesses:i'm really pleased with it, the grips that came on it blew, especially when they were wet, but that's a 20 dollar fix
    Similar Products Used:bianchi puss

Bottom Line:this bike is amazing. i'm only 5'5" and it works in every way i need. awkward with 26" in front and 24" wheel in back. if u r looking for a great bike to fool around on and do any kind of drop, stairset, dirt jumps, or urban riding the p.1 is perfect. p.2 same, but heavier. frame is built to withstand hard hits. after crashing extremely hard, only minor adjustments need to be made.

    Purchased At:The Bicycle Chain
Strengths:The product is strong! Totally sick frame, really strong brake, grippy all-terrain tires, lightweight
Weaknesses:GRIPS GIVE ME BLISTERS! No bash guard, not a big problem, no front break, harda$$ seat
    Similar Products Used:2006 P.2, P.1 Cr-Mo
Bottom Line:Great bike! Really great bike! I'm serious, this bike is great! Except for the fork, not bad, but not good, and the bad grips and the lack of a front brake. Now all specialized has to do is stick the drivetrain and fork from the Cr-Mo on the frame and wheels of the P.1 and add a front brake and you've got yourself a 5 chili pepper ride!

    Bottom Line:EXPERIENCE: PROGRESSIVE HARDTAIL

When it comes to pushing boundaries, some riders prefer to push in completely new and different directions--not just further in an established direction. Trying new terrains, blending different styles, and expanding the collection of tricks are all primary motivators to this crowd of idolized misfits. Whether riding streets, in skate parks, at the dirt jumps, hardtail freeride, or urban assault, the common needs are simple: tough bikes, built to be stable and predictable. No fluff. No sparkly stuff. Just bomb-proof rides that mix advanced technology with top-shelf materials--all standard features of any P-series bike. The P.1 can ride it all, but is most at home on the dirt, whether jumping or freeriding hardtail-style.

Weaknesses:it sucks going uphill. frame is hard to clean, no front brake, xc fork, could use better rims. after about 2 days of riding, something with my rear hub became lose and made cracking sounds. i took it to the shop and they tightened it. i've been doing a lot of 360s of drops and my rear wheel needs to be trued already, but that means i need to ride smoother.

there was a sticker on the handlebars that said "THIS PRODUCT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DOWNHILL COMPETITION, STUNTRIDING, OR ANY AGGRESSIVE OFF-ROAD RIDING." that scares me a little.
