Submitted by Toasterboy a Cross Country Rider from Nashvegas
    Date Reviewed: March 30, 2001
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $15.00
    Purchased At:cambria?
Strengths:Quite simply an exceptional product. Light, blue, and you NEVER EVER GET CRAP IN YOUR FORK. LESS STICTION. MORE TRAVEL. WILL WIN YOU FRIENDS AND GAIN YOU INFLUENCE.
    Weaknesses:hard to find now.
Similar Products Used:XXX seals, all stock seals for that matter, boots, lizard skins, and White brother caps (crappieeeeeeeeee)
Bike Setup:judys, englunds, oil bath, these wipers
Bottom Line:After another another couple of PARTICULARLY muddy winter months, I took my fork apart to rebuild it. Despite the fact that gravel and mud were caked behind the sliders, despite the fact that the stanctions were BLACK with dirt, despite the fact that I hadn't even so much as wiped the fork down since the last rebuild, the internals were immaculate. The bushings were in perfect (lubricated) condition and the oil was clean.
I don't even know why I bother rebuilding my fork anymore. These wipers keep out %100 of dirt and water no matter how terrible you are about maintaining your equipment (im pretty religious about drivetrains). The best you can get as it completely replaces your existing seals.

    Date Reviewed: September 20, 2000
    Favorite Trail:Lock4
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $15.00
    Purchased At:Cambria
Strengths:Work GREAT! look nice. Very durable.
    Weaknesses:Sadly, not produced anymore.
Similar Products Used:White Brothers wipers (trash)
Bike Setup:99 Jamis Dragon w/Judy SL
Bottom Line:Ive ridden my fork (Judy SL) with these in place of stock XXX wipers and they are fantastic. There is a noticeable decreace in initial stickiness, and the sealing is wonderful. The design allows for radial movment of the stanction, so little sideload is placed on the seal lips (unlike WB which stretch).
After half a year of abuse, my fork still performs better than a Judy with XXX seals and boots. Everytime I rebuild my fork, all the internals are squeaky clean too.
Unfortunately Mountainspeed does not make them anymore. If you can find a pair for your Judy, buy them, and Ill buy them off you for double the price, I like them that much.

    Date Reviewed: March 3, 2000
    Favorite Trail:yip yo
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Strengths:no mo boots!
    Weaknesses:???
    Similar Products Used:WB and Boots
    Bike Setup:Judy SL
Bottom Line:These things replace the entire resiwiper system in your Judy, and therefore provide a much better seal. Plain and simple, the Judy model rocks, and even though they seem a little pricey, they are well worth the cost.

    Date Reviewed: September 30, 1999
    Favorite Trail:
    The Farm
    Duration Product Used:
    6 months
    Strengths:
Lose the boots with no worries!!!
    Weaknesses:
    None
    Similar Products Used:
    RS Double Lip Seal
    Bike Setup:
Bontrager Race, Full XTR, Judy SL
Bottom Line:I'm a very no nonsense rider/tech geek. I went through the years in which I had to try the latest and greatest/lightest. I bought these because I was tired of having water come out of my fixing bolts of my lower assembly after every ride in the wet or rain. Besides I thought they're cheap, worst case scenario I'm out 20 bucks. But these things really, really work. I've had them a little over six months and have maintenanced my fork three times with absolutely no water or sludge like I used to have problems with, and thats without fork boots.

    Date Reviewed: April 29, 1999
    Favorite Trail:
    Anything with dirt
    Duration Product Used:
    3 months
    Strengths:
    Very good seal.
Can be used with or without boots.
Replaces the resi-seal...not just over them.
    Weaknesses:
    A bit of stiction.
    Similar Products Used:
Way better than the White Bros' product.
    Bike Setup:
    '97 Judy SL
Bottom Line:Keeps dirt, water, and mud out. Fork looks kule without the boots but you can run the boots as well for extra protection.
    Overall Rating:5
