from Oxford, UK Date Reviewed: January 22, 2004 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Price Paid: |
$40.00 | | Purchased At: | Beeline Cycles, Oxford, UK | | Strengths: | Light | | Weaknesses: | Breaks at welding points when subjected to vibrations or loads. | | Bike Setup: | Raleigh Pioneer hybrid road bike | | Bottom Line: | Aluminium is the wrong metal to build a rack out of. Although light, it is much stiffer than steel and therefore snaps when subjected to repeated loads. Mine broke after a few months of use commuting along uneven cycle tracks. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
