$45.00 | | Purchased At: | Ebay | | Strengths: | Light, strong, looks cool | | Weaknesses: | Pegs can hurt when they scrape against your calf. | | Similar Products Used: | Wellgo LU-313, steel cage pedals | | Bike Setup: | '97 Jamis Dakar FS, the beautiful red frame with Easton Elite tubing, mostly XT, python airlight tires | | Bottom Line: | I don't like the feel of being attached to my pedals, so I was seeking a lightweight pedal that would give me an adequate platform to put my foot on and adequate retention to hold my foot in place. This pedal accomplishes both tasks perfectly at a reasonable price.
I recently discovered that Supergo now sells this pedal under its own name for $37. That's an excellent deal. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | Don't remember | | Strengths: | They're light. The color is not that bad. The pins (before they strip out) create a very sticky surface. | | Weaknesses: | The pins rip out - I've only had these for less than a month, and five of the pins have already torn out. I don't know if they can be replaced 'cause when they tore out the magnesium pedal body basically ovalized. I may try super-glue. | | Similar Products Used: | Redlines | | Bike Setup: | SC Heckler - Z1FR for xc, older Super-T for dh. | | Bottom Line: | Nice & light & very grippy, but the pins are waaaayyyyy too easy to pull out, and when they do it looks like they deform the pedal body enough that I won't be able to screw new ones in, but if I can't I'll just epoxy them in & hope for the best. I'm thinking of Azonic A-frames, but they're a lot heavier. They get a 3x3 'cause they're cheap and light, but they don't last so I will have to buy new pedals, so they're not really so cheap after all. But when the pins stay in they're great. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$45.00 | | Purchased At: | supergo | | Strengths: | SUPER LIGHT! | | Weaknesses: | PEGS RIP OUT TOO EASY | | Similar Products Used: | NONE | | Bike Setup: | KHS FR1500 | | Bottom Line: | Very decent pedals, but as the others reviewers said, the pegs rip out rather easilly upon impact. If weight is more important than strength, these are great. I haven't found any plats as light as these. I've lost a couple pegs now and am looking into a different set. I haven't had any problems with the bearings. The next set I buy will have replaceable pegs from the bottom instead of these cheesy set-screws. they work great, just don't hold up as long as i'd like. I expected more for $45. I'm interested in the sun ringle zu zu's or redline prolines...

$37.00 | | Purchased At: | supergo | | Strengths: | Super light weight, great grip. Smooth rolling. Replaceable pins | | Weaknesses: | not great beater pedals. Green? | | Similar Products Used: | Primo super tenderizers | | Bike Setup: | The ultimate beater | | Bottom Line: | Really freakin light. Super smooth. Great platforms for trail riding. Not for trials. Pins get ripped out, but they spark and look really cool :) You are all crazy, too. They have cartridge bearings. Bottom line: you hit a rock with these, they will break (only if you hit it really really hard), hit a rock with primos, the rock breaks(trust me, i know) I would buy another set if they break, though | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | great grip, super light weight, reliable strength | | Weaknesses: | they tear up my legs occasionally, but other then that, nothin' | | Similar Products Used: | generic platforms | | Bike Setup: | Marin FS, Manitou, Race Face, Sram, Mavic | | Bottom Line: | A great pedal. Far lighter then nearly every other platform pedal. Strong good grip in all conditions. Traction pins seem strong enough for my usage and none have broken off. A good, practical investment with great results. If you were going to go platform, I couldn't think of a better pedal for XC riding. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$45.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | Light, grippy | | Weaknesses: | High spin friction, bushings instead of bearings wear after a few hundred miles creating play, pins rip out. | | Similar Products Used: | Shimano 515 - Clipless Other simple platforms. | | Bike Setup: | Giant NRS '01 2 - Agressive XC. | | Bottom Line: | Basically I have ripped out three pins so far, but the traction is still great. Unfortunately after 200-300 mi the bushings have developed play and creak and pop a lot. Also since these are bushings there is a high amount of friction. They are light yes, but not up to the abuse. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Big platform, good grip, have stood up well to the occasional rock strike | | Weaknesses: | Er?? | | Similar Products Used: | Shimano 747, Time | | Bike Setup: | Hardtail | | Bottom Line: | These things are light! Way lighter than my Times. Offer good grip - I can ride all the same trails as with my clipless pedals. Seem pretty strong too. Not the same pedalling power up hills obviously, but who cares if you're not racing? | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$45.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | Lightweight, large platform and good traction. Did I mention they're light? | | Weaknesses: | They're freakin avocado green! | | Similar Products Used: | Sun Ringle ZuZu. Times. | | Bike Setup: | 2001 FSRxc Pro: Monkeylite, Thomson stem/seatpost, SID, Fox Float RC, XTR hubs, Mavic 517, XTR/XT drivetrain, Panaracer Trailblasters. | | Bottom Line: | Well I almost sent them back because of the avocado green color. When I recieved them I called and the guy at Supergo said they're silver with a greenish tint but hey no problem send 'em back. The website had stated they were SILVER! They were really light, lighter than my Times. Sooo I borrowed my friends Dremel and wire brushed the paint off (took a couple of hours). I also managed to strip out a couple of the pins when I removed them. Well I didn't want all the pins in anyway so it didn't bother me that much. I put them on and took my bike up to Mendocino for a week of camping and riding and they worked great! I liked them alot. I wanted platforms so I could jump on my metal steed with any pair of shoes I had on and pedal around with the kids. Well I took them on a couple of pretty good rides and they did the trick. No worrying about clipping in and out and on rides of 15 miles or less I don't think you'll notice the loss of pedaling efficiency too much. Only 4 flaming roadkills on value 'cause the pins shouldn't strip out when you remove them and 4 on overall 'cuase I had to remove the puke green color. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

They've lasted a full year of hard trail riding.
GREAT pedal for the money. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
