from California Date Reviewed: February 25, 2008 | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Strengths: | It fits! | | Weaknesses: | No visor option, like many other Bell models. Gets kinda sunny when you are huffing and puffing up a hill in the morning. And as others noted, basic and bland styling. | | Bottom Line: | If you have ample brain capacity, there are few helmets that will fit. I know, I tried them all. Bell used to custom make large bike helmets back in the day. No more, but at least they sell this large helmet. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Ft Washington, MD Date Reviewed: October 3, 2005 | | Favoriate Trail: | D.C. to Mt Vernon, VA | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | The helmet fits those of us with unusually large domes. When your head is the size of a bus, there isn't too much out there to fit it. Bell has a good product, and it's cheap. | | Weaknesses: | The style is from the 1960s...pre-Brady Bunch. Expect to look more like Louis Armstrong in a helmet instead of Lance. | | Bottom Line: | Not many choices, but this is a practical compromise. This website (http://www.bhsi.org/bighead.htm)gives a bit of information about other manufacturers. Bottom line, us large brain, large head dudes and dudettes need to write the manufacturers to get more choices and better styles. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Everett, WA. USA Date Reviewed: June 13, 2000 | | Favoriate Trail: | St. Edward Park | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | It's a Bell, and it fits! | | Weaknesses: | It only comes in two colors, bland styling. | | Similar Products Used: | None. | | Bike Setup: | GT Tequesta, Ritchey tires & pads, Azonic riser bar, Salsa stem, Salsa "Rasta" skewers & seat post quick release, Salsa grips, WTB SST-X saddle. | | Bottom Line: | It's comfortable, it's light and it's reasonably priced. Wish it was cooler looking, but hey, it fits. Kudos to Bell for making a helmet for the "cranially endowed". Five flamin' chilis for value, only four flamin' chilis for bland styling. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
