from Gatineau Date Reviewed: November 17, 2000 | | Favoriate Trail: | Meech Lake trail | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Price Paid: |
$600.00 | | Purchased At: | POLO Velo | | Strengths: | Good bike for serious beginner, good quality/price ratio, very stable at high speed, good climber, good warranty(frame) | | Weaknesses: | stem to long, narrow handle bar, bad case of chain suck even if the chain has been replaced and always well maintained | | Similar Products Used: | Giant Yukon, Marin Quake | | Bike Setup: | rock shox Indy S,SRAM 7.0 rear derailler 8 Speeds, shimano stx front derailleur, shimano M646 pedals,Zoom stem, avid 1.0 brake and levers | | Bottom Line: | a Very good first time entry level quality bike. Good ratio price/quality. Very fast on single track. Climb like a goat. Very forgiveable. Recommended for single track not for the trail warrior. However there is a good warranty, Oryx replaced the frame by a new one when the frame cracked around the seat post. I got a brand new frame of the year. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
