Submitted by Bull a Weekend Warrior from Australia
Date Reviewed: June 9, 2004
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $7900.00
Purchased At:NSW
Strengths:Strong frame. Great for slamming down hard. Sticks to a line on cornering but at the expense of no simultaneous shock movement. Won't bob when out of saddle peddling flat out.
Weaknesses:Sid Air shock is dreadfull. I replaced it with a fox vanilaRC. Don't get much for a lot of $$. Like all single pivots, bad brake-jack, suspension locks out under braking & every other fault of single pivot designs. Bobs flat out when pedaling seated if don't have a stable platform shock.
Similar Products Used:FSR suspension; both norco and specialized 5 inch travel.
Bike Setup:stans no tubes. Fox vanila RC rear shock - need to set it with heaps of sag! Low seat post height.
Bottom Line:Why would you buy a single pivot design or other suspension desing when there is FSR rear suspension out there on a few brands to chose from. Don't try kidding yourself and spending big $$ on poor performance. Remember, Steve Peat could win the world cup on even a tricycle; it's not the bike.

Submitted by Shane a Downhiller from Lakewood Colorado USA
Date Reviewed: September 17, 2003
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:local shop
Strengths:Relatively light for the travel, super stiff, single pivot, hand built.
Weaknesses:None that I have noticed, the frame amplifies all sounds on the bike, loud hubs, rattling chain, etc.
Similar Products Used:Intense Uzzi SLX, Santa Cruz Heckler, Specialized FSR, Cheeta Prowler, Cannondale Super V.
Bike Setup:Romic rear shock (makes all the difference), full XTR, Grimeca 4pot brakes, Nokian NBX tires, Thomson post and stem, easton bar, Fox Talas fork.
Bottom Line:This is by far the funnest bike I have ever owned!! It climbs very well, pedals great, feels lighter than it is, dives into turns like a GPmoto bike, likes to take to the air, and is super stable and predictable. My advise is to go and buy an Orange, put on a Romic shock and you will have one great machine. On the plus side not everyone and there mother has one on the trail. The best bike I have ever thrown a leg over!!
