Favoriate Trail:Jim Thorpe PA
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $470.00
Purchased At:Stop and Shop
Strengths:This bike is great. I weigh 170 and hold strong through all jumps so far. It suprisingly climbs pretty well and descends like a champ. The front shock is single elastimer and it not that great. Replace that first. Have not been fond of grip shift but SRAM 7 is kickin' butt. Seat rubs you a little raw.
Weaknesses:Front shock, seat is rough on lower unit
Similar Products Used:trek, gary fisher joshua, cannodale
Bike Setup:stock, bontrager crow bar and lights
Bottom Line:I got this bike for a great price. It has been better than I expected, and plan to take it downhill. It comes with disc brake mounts and that is all I need to take on the world with this thing!!

Date Reviewed: May 9, 2001
Favoriate Trail:all w/ rocks and trees that ubstruct the path
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $800.00
Purchased At:aafes
Strengths:Good frame, rims, and whieght.
Weaknesses:Crappy forks, crummy rear suspention, the cranks should be replaced, bearings in the crank case, rear triangle might be defective. loose the grip shift. but thats after about a year or so of toth hell.
Similar Products Used:GT, Mongoose, gary fisher, whenheo, shwin, and every one has had a huffy.
Bike Setup:17inch frame, manitou shocks, suntour cranks, shimono xt components.
Bottom Line:I don't think i'm that ruff on bikes and I thought that this one would last. repace the suspention as soon as possible it's worthless. After I add all the good stuff it should be cool. does't really handle down hill. wears the bike. oddly enough for just the frame, I'm happy.

Weaknesses:the most common thing youd want to replace .. the front shocks
Similar Products Used:gt .. cannondale .. trek .. klein .. gary fisher .. mongoose rockadile .. specialized
Bike Setup:well bought it with factory parts except the tires and rapid fires i requested custom
Bottom Line:havnt ridden this one enough to tell if itll handle all the throw downs ill put it through but so far ive had it about a month and its taken quite a beating .. very good for the price you pay and the factory parts arnt so bad .. adjust a few things here and there like you would any other bike and this one is set!!

Favoriate Trail:Oak Mountain
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Killer Looks, Smooth ride...even on the rough trails.
Excellent price for what you get. I got mine for $600.
Weaknesses:Makes a lot of noise when your on a rough trail. Tighten everything down and you'll be alright.
Similar Products Used:Dback,GT
Bike Setup:Factory
Bottom Line:Overall this is an excellent duelie. Great price, Smooth ride although a little loud at times. I've ridden it quite a bit at oak mountain State Park in Birmingham. Anyone who lives around this area knows how tough that trail is. It handled like a champ. You will get some looks on this bike! Excellent Bike .
