$500.00 | | Purchased At: | performince | | Strengths: | the hole bike kicks ass, the frame wil stand up to almost any drop, and the fox shock is a very nice feel for the litter drops. | | Weaknesses: | i think the sattle is very unconfertibal and i had to put stiff springs in the front rock shock, also the stock chain will not hold up to anything. | | Bike Setup: | stock | | Bottom Line: | Great bike for a great deal. buy it and u will be stoked | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1000.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | It's heavy enough to get down the hill fast. I'm 6'1" and 155 lbs. Worked great in Downeyville until it broke on a small drop. It was a good deal for $1000. but I wished it didn't break so often. | | Weaknesses: | The swingarm has broken twice and Iron horse bikes can't get their business together enough to even return my emails and phone calls. Bike has been sitting for 6 months becuase I can't get a new swing arm anywhere. | | Similar Products Used: | Santa Cruz | | Bike Setup: | I put Jr. T's on it and it floated downhill, hit heavy rocks and bounced off like nothing. | | Bottom Line: | Don't buy one unless you only plann on riding on wimpy dirt trails. It cannot take the punishment of downhill. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1000.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | Bang for the buck - I did alot of checking and you can't beat this bike and the component set it comes with - I've beat it up all summer and it is still begging for more - I'm 6', 190 lbs. and ride hard with no worries - Ironhorse puts out good product. | | Weaknesses: | Not really any - you could complain about the Psylo, but come on - what do you expect for under a grand - put heavier springs in for about thirty bucks and you're good to go until you can afford an upgrade - I plan on a Sherman Breakout! | | Similar Products Used: | K2 Disco Monkey, Specialized Big Hit | | Bike Setup: | Azonic stem/bars, E-13 44 Special, Psylo with "black springs", Stratos TR1, Yeti lock-on's, 2.65 Kujo up front, 2.5 Intense in back | | Bottom Line: | Good bike for those looking to get into gravity riding - good components for the price, solid frame, easy to upgrade - fun as hell to ride! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$900.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | The frame is Burly as can be.The headset that comes with it is huge! almost like a soda can. Truvativ Crankset. The Maxxis tires roll over virtually anything they come across. The color looks weird yet in a cool way. I guess the 8 inch Hayes brakes deserve a bit of credit also | | Weaknesses: | The grips suck! The fork on mine only goes up to 115 instead of 125. Saddle is too wide and handlebar is too short.SRAM PC49 chain(Could've been upgraded to something better for the price) | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized Rockhopper. My beloved Specialized Enduro FSR that they stole | | Bike Setup: | Lizard Skin grips and Easton Monkey Bar.Lizard skins chainstay protector to eliminate chainsuck/chainsuck noise | | Bottom Line: | I agree this bike makes you feel invincible going on descents. Forget about going uphill on this rig.You might as well walk the trail uphill. Yes I do support Supergo afterall it's near me plus the bikes are a lot cheaper. Some stores and Websites were selling them for $1400 still. After using it for a couple of months now,my rear brake started dragging.Something I can get adjusted pretty easily. To those of you who plan to use this bike as an overall bike blacktop or singletrack "GOOD LUCK" Do I miss my Enduro? Going uphill I do. But, the SGS makes me feel like Darren Berrecloth on descents and jumps something the Enduro made me hesitate twice before. So do I love my SGS? Of course I do. You should too if you own it. Afterall we bought it for the price and what it can do for us right? Oh and by the way the fork dilemna can be solved by doing what the other guy did .Get stiffer springs. Buy it if you want to start freeriding but still wanna do trailriding . | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Also switch the front shock for a Marzocchi Z1 FR SL. Besides that I've dropped from Seoul Subway vents (4-5ft) to flat without any problem and I weigh in at 205. This bike tackles the many rock garden trails in and around Seoul, Korea. Look out Odachi because here I come.

$1050.00 | | Purchased At: | hate to say it, but, SUPERGO | | Strengths: | Good deal. I was planning on spending up to $2000 on a bike(not sure which one) but, then I realized how ridiculous that would have been(especially paying for a name). The derailers are pretty smooth compare to my old bike. The hubs, spokes, rims and tires seem pretty strong(others are saying that they are "weak") | | Weaknesses: | Affiliated with Supergo. Supergo posts "fake" reviews on here. Supergo's employees are commisionized. The rear brake is rubbing hard after my first "hard" ride. Not sure if it is the cable or the caliper?(the part on the caliper that is connected to the cable doesn't rotate back to it's "off" position after releasing the brake lever) | | Similar Products Used: | Not similair but, a Trek 4500(hardtail, biggest mistake) | | Bike Setup: | Completely stock, but I need help with upgrading. I really want to upgrade the brakes(to hydro) but not sure which ones, I also want to upgrade a lot more but slowly. If you have any recommendations or "do not buy this product" on any components that work on this bike let me know.....or if you know of "quality product reviews" on a website....let me know.........cantdrivestick@hotmail.com | | Bottom Line: | Damn good deal for the money.(especially since I bought a stupid hard tail a couple months ago for almost half the price)
It's a pretty strong bike for what I do.(I haven't done any big drops-maybe 3ft to flat-I do a lot of drop-ins off "cliffs" into trannys, and "fast" downhill on rocky singletrack)......
Also, I think it climbs pretty well-I can just sit on the bike and grind over rocks and ruts-on a hardtail you have to pretty much stand up or you will be sore.
So, bottom line: Sucks that I supported Supergo, but, definately a good deal for $1050, especially if you are on a budget or if you are looking for your first full suspension bike...... I gave the bike a 5 for value and 4 for overall(because of the brakes) I'am not a pro or expert rider so my judgement of this bike might be wayyyyy off. but, I do know this bike will hold up for a while(for me at least) and for the price I can't complain......also, supergo should offer free tune-ups for a year(they offer 30 day, and they seem pissed when you go in) like other local shops......I'am not a bike mechanic so I would have to complain about the manuals they give you(not much information on the specific bike, "take it into your dealer" is written too much, I like working on my own equipment but can't do it without proper instructions!) I hope my review helped somebody | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1000.00 | | Purchased At: | Getaway Bikes | | Strengths: | Excellent bike , I think it climbs very well . Even though freeride bikes have a slacker head tube than a hardtail ,the SGS Sport doesn't have any bad handling traits , such as front wheel flop on the hill climbs .I ride a lot of tight single track ,and I find the bike handles very nimbly . The SGS Sport also weighs less than the claimed weight of 39 lbs. My medium size tipped the scales at a tad over 35 lbs. That's got to be a first in the bike industry. | | Weaknesses: | The Sram 49 chain is better off on a bike designed for flat, paved bikepaths. Lose the chain . | | Similar Products Used: | This is my first 'freeride bike'. I didn't test ride any bikes in the 'freeride category . I took the leap of faith and bought it mail-order. | | Bike Setup: | Rock Shox Psylo fork , Fox Vanilla Shock in the rear. XT rear derailleur , Deore front, Hayes mechanical disc brakes . | | Bottom Line: | I would recommend this bike to anybody who wants a good bike on a budget . If you have to own a bike with a high fallootin' name , then don't buy it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$999.00 | | Purchased At: | SuperGo.com | | Strengths: | amazing value... take a look at the other bikes in this price range and you will wonder why you haven't ordered your iron horse yet. built like a tank with solid components. rides like a champ and has great cushion on hard landings. inspires that invincible feeling, and makes you want to drop all kinds of stupid crap. iron horse builds a helluva bike that would cost way more money with any other company. built for freeriders and downhillers with value in mind. bottom line - there's not a better bike out there in the $1,000 - $1,500 range. | | Weaknesses: | flat tire on my first night out. the tubes are sized for up to a 2.1 tire. This bike has 2.35 width tires, and the tubes are way too thin. I replaced mine with correct-sized downhill tubes. bike is very heavy, little bit of bob on the uphills, but that comes with the territory. not for cross-country riders or casual street-biking. | | Similar Products Used: | norco fluid, rocky mtn pipeline | | Bike Setup: | stock | | Bottom Line: | you can't beat the value. this bike is the only way to go if you are strapped for cash but want the plush of a quality freeride bike. you'll be able to drop anything. i weigh 190 and haven't had any troubles with the psylo. i haven't dropped any huge drops yet, but it does fine on 3'-4' flats, just avoid landing primarily on your front fork! i have a buddy on the same bike dropping 15-footers. i researched for days and days before buying this bike and i can't find anything that touches it within an additional $500. i rode an older, cheaper iron horse and abused it way more than i should have been able to. these bikes are quality. supergo does a fantastic job - my bike was pretty much good to go right out of the box. the components compare to bikes twice it's price, and function really well on stock setup. oh- and this bike looks bad***. it's got great style. i was up at the U of Utah campus the other night messing around, and met up with a bunch of hardcores on pricier bikes. every one of them had to testride the ironhorse, and about wet their pants when i told them i picked it up for $999. it's got appeal my friends, and for a lot of good reasons. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1099.00 | | Purchased At: | SuperGo | | Strengths: | Great frame, 8" Hayes, 6" of plush rear travel. Solid wheels and great tires. The components are built for abuse. Unbelievable value. | | Weaknesses: | Psylo is undersprung. I purchased the firm spring. I haven't ridden it yet with the new spring. The old spring bottomed much too often. Deore shifters and front derailure but that kept the price down, and they work fine. Handlebars had a crappy bend and were too narrow for this type of bike. Seat is too wide and uncomfortable. Heavy at 37lbs for a Large. | | Similar Products Used: | 1999 FSR, 2001 FSR Enduro | | Bike Setup: | Stock except 2" Rise Answer bars. Much better bend. Firm spring in Psylo but not reviewed here. | | Bottom Line: | This bike inspires confidence on the downhills. The Psylo is undersprung. If you are over 140lbs you will need to upgrade the spring ($35). I can clean so much more than on my 2001 Enduro. It is pretty heavy and can be a bear on the uphills. Just stay planted and grind. I could use a 34 tooth rear. All in all you can't beat this bike for the price. If you're looking for a solid, affordable freeride bike this is it. If you're looking for a climber look elsewhere. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
