$2300.00 | | Strengths: | - strength - beefyness - looks cool - reliability - steel - price | | Weaknesses: | - overall geometry - seat placement - weight - headtube size | | Bike Setup: | Iron Horse SGS Team Marzocchi 66 VF 170 MRP System 1 Mag 30 rear / Bombshell Fatboy front Holzfeller cranks Shimano drivetrain Maxxis rubber | | Bottom Line: | Good bike overall. Reliable and simple frame design (FSR) and the strength of the steel frame is confidence inspiring.
Bike is very slow on flat straight aways and pedal bob is pretty gruesome. Weight is a big deal to me and this thing is heavy. Whenever I do big drops I always get raped by the seat because it's so damn high; it also makes it tought to tuck up technical downhill sections or speed jump anything. Very little standover height... not good for you balls if you know what I mean.
Overall a good bike for a decent price. Simple design means it'll last you a long time and it can really take a beating. Not the best downhill rig in my standards. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$2000.00 | | Purchased At: | Supergo | | Strengths: | This bike is well put together 1) it has compression dampning on the fork, unlike last years SGS pro 2) Shock is just as good as a 5-element 3) grips a ten times better than last years 4) 4-bolt stem thank you 5) Sram drivetrain, I had the Shimano XT get the cable ripped out the back at least 10 times on my old 03 SGS Pro 6) Rims are huck and racing proof 7) Brakes are incredible MAGS ROCK! 8) Comes with Top notch tires 9) E Thirteen Chainguide is awesome very quiet 10) Frame is so beefy, too beefy 11) Bike is very light 42lbs.! For a dh bike at least
| | Weaknesses: | 1) Tires are too soft so right when i got it i switched out the tires for maxxis mobsters (cheap tire for general riding) and saved the slow reezys for racing 2) The deraileur hanger still has those dang philips head screws, you either strip them or they back out
| | Similar Products Used: | Kona Stinky, Kona Stinky Deluxe, Specialized Bighit Expert, Sport, SPEC, and Grom (fun bike, small!), Ironhorse 03 SGS Pro -got stolen from me :( -, 03 SGS EXPERT, Norco A-line (P.O.C.), Kona Joyride, Kona Stab Garbonzo, Giant Warp, too many to list | | Bike Setup: | Stock with Maxxis Mobsters | | Bottom Line: | This bike is worth the $600 over the 04 SGS PRO This Bike held up to all the punishment I have given it 1) 10 foot roof drop 2) 25 foot road gap 3) 35 foot step down This bike is so woth your money why waste $5000 on a super race bike when you can have this bike that does the job just as well for $2000? I'll give you a proper review after the 05 race season Peace | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$2350.00 | | Purchased At: | supergo mission viejo | | Strengths: | The frount end is a great deal stiffer than the previous years, the x9 derailer is easly tunable and super quiet, the evil srs chain retention system is very bombproof and reliable(not to mention quiet for a box guide)and consistent, the manitou swinger shock matches the feel of the boxxer team forks nicely when set up correctly, the frame is super beefy and flex free and with the 4" bb shell it feels extra stable, the sic stem is cool brcause you can run either a 25.4 or a 31.8 handelbar, the evil zero stack hedset gives the frount end a super low racey feel, the rear linkage has a sweet interlocking piece to prevent lateral play in the rear end plus the 12 mill axle helps, the minnion slow reezzay f/r tires are some of the best tires i have used, the hayes hd9 with the g2 open back calipers dissapate heat quickly and never fade the wtb lazerdisc wheel set is sweet and reliable only weigs 41.8 lbs thats roughly 3 lbs heavier than a pro rig | | Weaknesses: | my stock seat collar broke, grips suck unless glued or wired, you must take the linkage apart to get the shock off(this is because of the interlocking spacer) matt black paint amp;ifies even the slightest bit of dust, supergo is out of them | | Similar Products Used: | ironhorse g-spot with similar set up | | Bike Setup: | as shown in the supergo web site but with silver forks | | Bottom Line: | super sweet bike for the price 2500, the rear suspention can react smoothly to any type of punishment you throw at it, you can go from a super fast technical downhill to tightly packed dirt jumps with out changing the suspention setup, awsone budgit race bike, and this bike should get six flamin chilis but only five are avalible. track this bike down and try it out | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
