Favoriate Trail:the pits
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $440.00
Purchased At:mainstreet bikes
Strengths:the 2003 hoffman rhythm is a great bike. I have had no problems with it. although i have purchased over 500$ in upgrades, nothing has ever broken.
Weaknesses:the rear rim will bend if you slam it into curbs enough...as with any other bike. great bike.
Similar Products Used:2003 haro backtrail X3, specialized vegas, lots of others,
Bike Setup:stock hoffman rhythm frame (tore off all stickers, they got dirty), stock forks, LAF front haro race rim, animal jump off stem (blue), S&M dive bars w/industry grips, no brakes whatsoever, oddessy 33 tooth sprocket, oddessey cassette rear rim, poverty seat post (about 1 cm long), shadow slim seat, stock cranks w/new bearings, primo tenderizor pedals, stock hoffman tires (invincible), all of the upgrades took the bike from 36 pounds to 27 pounds, its not LAF, but its pretty close
Bottom Line:the bike comes with a very nice setup, but after 2-3 years of riding you need change, nothing ever broke on it, just wanted a different feel every now and again

this bike is good for all riders, im an intermediate rider, (4-6 foot jumps, 6-20 foot gaps), and it has been worth all 440$ of it.)

im sure that the new models are very nice as well

Date Reviewed: January 2, 2004
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $219.00
Purchased At:Dan's Comp
Strengths:Great bike for the money, has nice components (cranks, bars, forks). Good quality, hasn't failed on me yet.
Weaknesses:A bit on the heavy side (only becasue i am used to a lighter GT), diatech hombre brakes are junk, paint scratches off fairly easy.
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:stock, no mods yet
Bottom Line:great bike for the money but with the money that you save, get some Evolvers as well as a new lever (either modulever or Tech 77). Good bike for beginning trail riders (like myself) but will probably last you very long.
