Description:

Submitted by Daniel a Weekend Warrior from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Date Reviewed: November 9, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $140.00
Purchased At:purchased second hand
Strengths:Strengths ? Well it's strong as an ox. Gearing is good,Parts are good. Not the highest quality components in the world, but quite good nonetheless.
Weaknesses:A tad heavy for beginners maybe. Front rim could really stand to be a chrome plated one,as the front brakes are pretty crappy out of the box.
Similar Products Used:Hoffman Deebo, Hoffman George, GT Performer
Bike Setup:I run my bike just as i purchased it second hand. It was still brand new but for a few grazes on the paint.Took the left hand pegs off to shave off some weight, and i wouldn't have used them anyway.
Nothing really needs upgrading at this stage. Bike is solid.
Bottom Line:If you're skinny and lacking some strength, this bike COULD..be a tad heavy for you.Ditch the pegs if you want to remove some weight, they're fairly heavy.
The top tube length is good, bike is very roomy.
Bars feel great.
3 piece cranks have held up fine.Maybe go some softer frotn brake pads if you decide to keep the brakes on.

Just a good all round bike. If you can even get one for a bit cheaper than retail,as i did. Go for it. Wont disappoint.

Submitted by John Billing a Cross Country Rider from Sydney, Australia
Date Reviewed: May 23, 2005
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:Bike shop?
Strengths:This bike is exactly what it says and more! Comprising of all the old standard favourite bits - gyro, skidmark tyres, 3pce alloy cranks, etc., this bike will endure anything a beginer can throw at it - with reason! Welding is all good.
Weaknesses:Made in Taiwan and starting to look like HB are selling out to a cheaper market, yet charging the same price. A bit heavy perhaps.
Similar Products Used:Hoffman Sugar Baby, GT Dave Mirra Special.
Bike Setup:Factory minus the reflectors and bell.
Bottom Line:A great bike that is still only just well priced. Well built. Reccomend it to any one who wants to start out, but not ready for a serious mission.
