Description:-7005 Series Alloy, Dirt Jumping Frame
Available in 3 sizes (S, M, L)

Submitted by Glen a Weekend Warrior from Christchurch NZ
Date Reviewed: August 28, 2007
Favoriate Trail:Port Hills / Victoria Park
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:Bike HQ
Strengths:Great frame with adj drop outs, 8" brake discs, overall burlyness.
Weaknesses:The Marzocchi forks adjustment isnt up to much and the kenda tyres - I chucked the kinetics on the back and bought a Maxxis Minion for the front. Sorted. The hayes sole brakes tend to squeal too. Tacky cheap quick releases (still do the job well though).
Similar Products Used:Avanti Montari Comp.
Bike Setup:As per factory but with a Minion 2.35 DH on the front
Bottom Line:This bike is excellent value for money. I use it for trail riding, up and downhill and dirt jumping. Its not too heavy and it is well specced for its price. Anyone getting into dirt jumping should seriously consider this bike.

Favoriate Trail:Lowell Dracut State Forest
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $110.00
Purchased At:eBay
Strengths:Strength, geometry, handling, all around kick-a$$-ness
Weaknesses:Weight? for short riders like me (5 feet 5.5 inches) the bike handles on a dime so handling vs. weight... handling wins so more pros than cons!
Similar Products Used:xc bike so not too much, some parts from the bike were used to build it!
Bike Setup:Bought frame used 2005 frame on eBay online bike store. built it up with a Marzocchi NOS 2004 Dirt Jumper III 20mm Thru-axle fork. Azonic Outlaw wheelset, single speed with profile design tensioner. Truvative Hussafelt stem, Race Face Evolve DH riser bars. Salsa pepper grips or chili whatever they call them. Azonic A-Frame pedals. FSA Pig DH-Pro headset, Race Face Diabulus seatpost. Currently but soon to change Truvative Isoflow crank set and BB but used as single speed. Avid BB7 disk brake calipers. Avid fr-5 levers, Avid 6" rotor (rear), Hope 8" rotor (front)
Bottom Line:AWESOME BIKE! at least the frame. I built this bike up over the cold New England winter in hope of making a bike that fits me (bought a small frame), will be great for college (going to be a freshman at a college in Northwestern NY this coming fall... COLD WINTERS!!! Lake Effect Snow, etc!!!), Get me into Dirt Jumping and Urban riding, especially around campus. This bike also feels great XC riding, granted it's not an xc bike, tiring on long xc rides but gets the job done if I prop the seat up a bit. Great all around bike and even better for the more hardcore stuff. took it to a local skate park and it was awesome! I'm just getting started in the DH/DJ/Urban part of the sport but it looks to be amazing!
