    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $300.00
    Purchased At:mtbr classifieds
Strengths:Price, geometry, 24"s stock, single speed, burly frame, easy to mod
Weaknesses:heavy, front and back tekro discs suck, gyro is weak, static stances air assist blew, cranks come loose.
    Similar Products Used:chase 1
Bike Setup:stock with dropouts drilled an extra half inch, manual so nice now, perfect lenght chainstays now. front brake removed, steerer cut, seat tube cut, shimmed the fork and put in heavier oil.
Bottom Line:Its a good bike for the price, better if found used. Its good as a single speed, never ran it with gears. brakes and fork and crank could use upgraded, other then that its solid. drilling out the dropouts made this bike so much more fun to ride. with the frame made to except 26s, there is pelnty of room to cut into the dropouts and slam that 24 inch hoop. If your new to the sport or just want a budget bike this is it. If you can afford a p1 go for that instead due to the weight of this bike. your best bet is to find this used, they always sell on ebay for 300 to 400. I rarely ever see one for sale though.

    Date Reviewed: May 9, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Purchased At:450
Strengths:It is a steel hard tail with american bb... rear hub has a thru with four bearings, nice tire step up
Weaknesses:it is over 40 pounds stock, pedals suck, fork is super heavy and soft , gyro sucks for trying to brake, bars and stem easily reach about four pounds
Similar Products Used:specialized p2, santa cruz jackle, black market mob, jamis eureka
Bike Setup:stock frame with seat post and crankset, shadow slim seat, marzocchi dirt jumper II, bombshell wheelset with k-rad and kujo dh, hayes mechanical (6 rear and 8 front), hoffman mushroom grips and primo bar ends, azonic aggro stem, oversized 31.8 bars, odyssey pedals (now under 38 pounds)
Bottom Line:If you plan on riding street and tails like on a bmx bike, than this is for you. It rides just like that. It built for the abuse of this style of riding. It feels weightless in the air. The top tube is really only 22.5 inches and feels short. Bottom line it the best bike to bust a crazy line on once you are use to the weight.

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $380.00
    Purchased At:Sunrise Cycle
Strengths:Solid, really frickin' cheap, 24" wheels
Weaknesses:Heavy-ish, fork leaves some to be desired
    Bike Setup:Stock
Bottom Line:A great urban bike. It is set up for barspins, and if you want to throw out the singlespeed, you can put on a downtube shifter, too. Fork is a bit on the crappy side, but the lockout is nice - definitely one of the components I'm planning on replacing someday... Don't try to take it up hills, though - the combo of singlespeed and the weight kill. Overall, considering the price, what a cool bike to have for it's purpose.

    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $399.00
    Purchased At:CRC
    Strengths:Excellent frame, comes singlespeed, handlebars
Weaknesses:Maybe the fork. Bottoms out very easily even on stiffest settings. I bought an Marzocchi D-Street Comp, and it's fanstastic. The seat is also a little clumsy.
Similar Products Used:DK Fury 24" BMX
Bike Setup:Marzocchi D-Street Comp 80mm, Bontrager Earl seat (awesome value!)
Bottom Line:Fantastic for the price. Comes with 24" wheels, great frame, singlespeed. And still only about $500 (mongoose.com). There are several bikes in price-class and this is the best. Absolutely.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $430.00
    Purchased At:jack davies cycles
Strengths:Strong frame, single speed, gyro, equipped with good tyres, good brakes, light in air, and the forks are quite good for RSTs they come with lock on.
Weaknesses:a tiny bit on the heavy side and the seat is rubbish so change it to a dmr jump saddle.
    Similar Products Used:speciallized p1
Bike Setup:it is good when you get it but i put dmr v8 pedals on it and a dmr jump sadle and new dust caps and hope skewer.
Bottom Line:Mint bike, when it is in the air it is easy to control.I am 12 and i can clear big jumps and manual them ive been of a few drop offs and it has handled them nice so dont let the weight or shape put you off it might look ugly on the internet but it is beautiful when you actully see it.I would recomend this to any dirt jump rider and a racer that wants a strong bike and is easy to control.

    Favorite Trail:Longford Pines
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Purchased At:Mallards Cycles Sale
Strengths:I bought the wheels, frame, and cranks only, they are all excellent and hold up to all the abuse I dish out, My Manitou Stance's set on 130mm work best, nice and quick off the spot, feels nice in the air and I'm 6ft 2".
Weaknesses:To set V-brakes up on the rear, it takes a bit of stuffing around, due to the horizontal dropouts, but really no big deal after it's all set up.
Similar Products Used:2005 Norco tactik, Sasquach, P3, P1, 05 Norco Kompressor.
Bike Setup:Stock wheels (for now), Manitou Stance Splice forks, Truvativ hussefelt stem with Richey WCS bars(cut in 25mm), Stock cranks, DMR V-12 pedals, LX V-brake on the rear only. (MX-2 disc for the front coming soon!)
Bottom Line:Awsome Bike for the Buck, Rides terrific, feels nice and firm, corners well. Haven't taken it out of town yet, but I'm sure it'll go just as well in the dirt as it is on the park. Go out and buy one, they rock, change the forks first, RST suck.
