      FavoriteTrail: syncline, post canyon
      Duration Product Used: 1 Year
      Price Paid: $575
      Purchased At: kisslers
Strengths: strong frame, good base to build from. the bike likes to go fast and is stable at speeds. sealed hubs and bottom bracket. when mostly stock it makes a good dirt jump or urban bike, however, i built mine for hardtail downhill racing.
Weaknesses: stock parts (fork, suntor duro) sucks. i broke it within about 2 months at syncline riding some downhill single track. i also busted the cranks within about 6 months and upgraded to the truvativ hussefelt.
Similar Products Tried: chucker 2.0, sinister
Bike Setup: chucker 1.0 frame, marzocchi junior T fork, DMR hubs, Sram x9 short cage deralliur, sram x9 shifter, sram DH 9speed cassette, Avid Code 5 brakes w/ 203mm rotors front and rear, truvativ hussefelt cranks 38T chain ring, truvativ team bottom bracket, syncros alloy chainguide.
Bottom Line: Exelent starter bike. will go anywhere or do anything from urban to XC to downhill. its affordable and pretty much gives you anything you need in a hardtail mountain bike. overtime though, some of the stock parts will need to be replaced but thats to be expected from a bike like this at this price.

this is a great jump bike and is so strong,it takes anything you throw at it.
this bike is not as heavy as people describe it and the air you can get on it is immense.

Strengths: Strong frame and tough rims. Rides well and a great first bike if you are getting into dh and dirt jumping.
Weaknesses: Crap rear derailleur, broke the hanger and arm and it got jammed in the spokes. Very average fork, not a smooth action and bottoms easily.
      Similar Products Tried: Kona stuff

Bottom Line: Good overall unit. Had it over 6 foot drops, no probs. Some of the cheaper components will let you down but you can always upgrade them later. Or better still buy a dually!

Weaknesses: gears dont take much to wrek, i caught mine on a wall a few times whilst street riding n now they need repleacing, but i need a new bike now after a year.
      Bike Setup: stock
Bottom Line: really good starter bike and good value. can handle anything u throw at it. takes alot of abuse easily but brakes need to be better. gears and brakes need reseting alot if you abuse for a whole day, i'm going to get hydraulic brakes. need a new bike as well

Strengths: it is a strong durable bike, i have personally fell off a good 5-6 times and the forks, wheels and the frame are still as strong and straight as ever. the forks can sustain a lot of pressure if you land on your front wheels.
Weaknesses: i would say there are no major weaknesses but if i had to be picky, i would say the gears arent quite as precise and smooth changing as could be. but that is all. this is no biggy if you spend some time setting them up to your expected standards.

      Purchased At: fulchers cyclery
Strengths: the frame is very strong, the SRAM 5.0 gears are user friendly, the tektro aquila brakes work like a charm, the suspension is solid, the bikes design is great because of great control at any speed on any surface, the MTB Raptor 2.4 tires are the best.
Weaknesses: It would have to be the rims, front hub (experienced grinding noise when turning left at a certain speed), and the lack of gears (16 speed aint enough for me)
      Bike Setup: Stock
Bottom Line: The bike is great for any rider but will little improvements (more gears, stronger rims, and better hubs, and possible more travel on the forks) the GT Chucker 1.0 has great performance and control and is an excellent bike for AU$699

Strengths: The bike seems to have a very strong frame which is great considering the small size of the frame, the rims are also very strong and the gears are user friendly. The forks are also quite strong and good. Good freeride bike
Weaknesses: The weaknesses would have to be the brakes, they could be better but would be great for the normal user, if alot of pressure is applied to the lever then the brakes work fine, otherwise a bit slow to stop, also the chain region, within 2 days my frame was starting to cut from the chain, poor design but a lizard skin is sure to work, this problem will always cause you to be worried about the bikes condition. Otherwise great.
