    Favorite Trail:diablo
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $270.00
    Purchased At:chain reaction cycle
    Strengths:beefy, good looking crankset
Weaknesses:a few major problems... non-driveside crank arm is extremely thigh with no simple way of removing it and the crank arms were mis-aligned
Similar Products Used:Shimano saint, xt, lx, raceface, Kooka, hussfelt.
Bike Setup:Cannondale gemini DH team frame
Bottom Line:As stated the non driveside crank arm is extremely tight when installed. This usually isnt a problem... until you realize that the crank arms dont line up and you have to remove them. I had to unscrew the bb to get the crank arm to release from the spindle, a major pain. The crank arms were misaligned by about 5 degrees. These cranks do not have a keyed spline like the saints do. Given this, I checked other mounting options on the chance that I was being an idiot. (I am a life long mechanic and part time bike mechanic) I even took them to LBS's for independent confirmation, a tough pill to swallow given they were an online purchase. Turns out that they are in fact misaligned. I returned them for an exchange and asked that the new pair be checked before shipping so as to avoid this problem again. Turns out that all 16 pairs that the retailer has in stock are 'off' just like my pair. BUYER BEWARE! FYI. chainreactioncyles has been very good in handling this. I will leave higher feedback if Funn gets this sorted out.

    Favorite Trail:Thetford
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Strengths:Strong good looking crank
Weaknesses:The central fixing bolt is forever coming undone! Take your allen key with you on any ride that's more than 30 minutes long. Bottom bracket is below average in the quality stakes. Only Truvativ & Funn outboard BB's fit this crank.
Bottom Line:The cranks are just too unreliable because they come undone all the time.
