Description:This all-purpose pannier fits both front and rear racks, as well as being the ideal size for children's bicycles. The roll'n'snap top allows it to be loaded higher thanks to its cover flap catch. Outer compression straps on front and sides help hold contents secure. Cordura(R) fabric is sprayed for waterproofing, is dustproof, and is 3D welded for durability. Sturdy suspension is also easy to remove - lifting the strap releases the catches for quick removal.

Strengths:Strong, sensible design. Works very well if you have had problems with heel/pannier rub (large feet)with standard rear panniers.
Weaknesses:Quite pricey at list... great if you can find a deal.
Similar Products Used:Jandd (grandly overrated), REI, Vaude
Bike Setup:Various: cross/tourers, street tourers, hardtail mountain.
Bottom Line:Very well designed. Super versatile. I've used two pairs for trips requiring more gear (one front, one rear). Capacity is less than Ort Back Rollers and other such cavernous bags, though I prefer a smaller packed volume than a larger (loose) jumble. If you can't tour with two pair of these, a trunk, and a strap on compression sack, you should re-evaluate your material needs. They've got plenty of (flexible)capacity. The on/off system is bombroof. I got some nylon shims from the hardware store to eliminate any rattle on smaller tube racks. Utterly waterproof. Highly recommended.

Price Paid: $160.00

Strengths:Excellent design. Quick and easy mounting system. Highest quality all around.
Weaknesses:Hard to find since made in Germany. Expensive although worth it.
Similar Products Used:Cannondale for 5 years.
Bottom Line:I researched many panniers before buying these. I'm thoroughly convinced they're the best and therefore paid the extra cash. It's not really "mini" in size, just a more compact vertical design. Don't know what they mean about perfect for children, since most kids don't need $160 bike bags! It's actually a more functional style than the old oddly-shaped panniers many companies still make. I use my pair on the rear for trail riding, grocery shopping and the occasional commute. Holds plenty of gear which is somewhat deceiving as each compartment can be packed quite high like a stuff sack and secured with the drawstring rather than tying the lid down. Holds much more that way than the labeled size indicates. Using the lid and numerous straps however will safely secure even the bulkiest loads on harsh rides. The mounting system is simply the best and fastest thing of any manufacturer. Just pull on the handle straps to clip on, or lift off and away you go. No fumbling at all. The bag material is extremely light and indestructible. It's been treated in some special way that only German engineering can produce, since there's nothing else like it available. If you can find these, buy them!
