from Seattle Date Reviewed: January 26, 2008 | | Favoriate Trail: | Tolt | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Purchased At: | gift | | Strengths: | Waterproof, spacious, good strap system | | Weaknesses: | For the cost, some of the accessories should come with the darn thing. | | Similar Products Used: | EMS backpack, Austrian Army backpack, US Army Backpack | | Bike Setup: | Does it matter? Single speed hardtail for the mountains, road bike for the road. | | Bottom Line: | This thing is the bomb for my commuting needs. It holds a heck of a lot and is completely waterproof. The straps are comfortable for me and seem to be easily adjustable to fit a wide range of bodies. It carries weight lower on your body than most backpacks, which feels better when crouched in the drops.
That said, the list price is crazy high. There are no dividers on the inside, so I've got another portfolio bag I carry in there with my lock, tools, notebook, pen, etc... The spare clothes and coffee thermos get thrown in on top, and there's room for more stuff if I need it. I got the bag as a gift, and I am really happy to own it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
