$400.00 | | Purchased At: | cheeky monkey | | Strengths: | rides like a steel hardtail (not harsh but hard), paintwork, builds a light bike for a steely. | | Weaknesses: | i bent the (non-removable) hanger, and although it straightened out easily, it's never shifted the same since. | | Similar Products Used: | various steel mtb frames | | Bike Setup: | xc race | | Bottom Line: | great frame, super fast out of corners and great uphill. on smooth bermed singletrack nothing beats the feeling of a steel hardtail, however it's not the most confident descender on rough terrain. i dinged up the bottom of the down tube from a rock rather easily... but i guess that's how they get the bikes so light. and i had hat problem with the rear d hanger that i bent in a stack.
however, i got into 24hr solo racing and found this bike to be a little to punishing to ride for the full 24hrs... but a great weekend warrior bike and platform for amateur racing.
