from Barrie, Ontatio, Canada Date Reviewed: April 10, 2008 | | Favoriate Trail: | Mono Cliffs | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Price Paid: |
$700.00 | | Purchased At: | Monovans | | Strengths: | Wicked geometry, right zippy off the line, you can feel how well its made | | Weaknesses: | the stock brakes aren't too good, hard to find a dealer | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized, Norco, Kona, Rocky Mountain, Khs, Gary Fisher, Diamondback | | Bike Setup: | new saddle, otherwise stock | | Bottom Line: | This bike handles awesome. It accelerates just as quick as my specialized did, the steering is more forgiving. Possibly the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. Its nimble on the single track, but not too twitchy. For racing or serious riding you're going to upgrade just about everything(for the price point though, you're getting a nicely equipped ride), but even as it stands, an okay rider do well in a race, a very good rider could place or win. A note about buying a bike in Barrie, GO TO MONOVANS!!! the only shop around (outside the Hardwood Hills pro shop) that has staff that know what they are talking about! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
