Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
Light, durable wheelset, even spoke tension, stays true. Hubs are (DT HUGHI FR) very service friendly and easy to rebuild. Price.
Weaknesses:
Problem with rear freehub (failed) - mended under warranty.
Similar Products Used:
Various Bontrager and Mavix wheels
Bike Setup:
SC Heckler FR/AM ...blablablabla
Bottom Line:
The Wheelset is sold in Europe with Mavic XM321DISC rims, as opossed to this stated here. Hence...review for my XM321DISC equiped wheelset. After a year of hard use (220lbs/193cm) on my Heckler, the rims are still running true (no attention whatsoever) Regarding spoke strenght/tension.....Had some accidents with branches (getting caught up in my wheels) and soo far its 3:0 for the wheels. The only prob I had with the wheels was the rear freehub mechanism (the HUGHI prawls) getting toasted. Aparently because a small piece of one of the prawls got chiped of and toasted the rest of the engagment mechanisem resulting in freehub failure. Somehow annoying. But was fixed in 15 minutes by a DT service center under warranty. Since then no problems.
