    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $230.00
    Purchased At:Pricepoint or Jenson
Strengths:The convertible QR/thru axle works absolutely spiffy. Super strong. I rode (and hit small kine jumps) for several weeks with two broken spokes in the front and it stayed true! (I guess 'cause there are 34 others) In fact, after an initial and then occasional spoke tightening, they've stayed true through miles and miles of abuse on unforgiving terrain.
Weaknesses:Rear hub tightens up. This could be because the LBS and I have no clue how to adjust the weird stuff inside. Or maybe the LBS guy was just high. Front hub still spins like a dream though.

We'd always like our parts to be lighter...
Similar Products Used:Rhino Lites, Mavic, WTB speeddisc
    Bike Setup:2006 Kona coilair
Bottom Line:Tremendous value for a strong, yet not too heavy and reliable wheelset.
Far from being a gimmick, the convertible QR/thru axle works exactly as advertised. This is helpful because I keep blowing out my thru-axle fork and have to toss on an older quick-release fork.

Weaknesses:no single speed option from factory and they don't come with the momentum axle which is what you need to run a bolt on axle for the steelhead frame. Have to buy that seperate-I just think that is stupid. Comes rigged for QR and no rim brakes on these must use disc

Bike Setup:06 Kona Coiler Delux Sram X9 shifters LX front, X9 rear. Thompson 50mm X4 stem (much lighter than stock and quicker steering), Kona Wah Wah pedals (they rock.
Bottom Line:Great wheel set fore the money. Have not had them go too far out of true. Very stiff comared to the Single Track rim. Have not had any problem with the rear hub yet, time will tell.
I have ridden Big Bear a few times this year and Mommoth for 3 days with this wheel set along with every weekend at the Whoops @ Kenter. They have taken a beating and no issues.
They are the P*mpist thing I have seen with White hub-shokes-rim!
They dont seem to be much heavier than the Single Tracks I had on the bike and much much much stiffer when railing the corners and landing turn jumps.
I give them a overall 4 rating only because it is inexcusable to get a rim that is not true right out of the box. Other than that, for the money they are a great deal.

Strengths:Strong, strong, STRONG!! Not bad on weight either, cheap too when compared to some other wheel sets in the same class. Convertible hubs work great too!
    Weaknesses:NONE! It's that simple

Bike Setup:Kona Stinky w/ eight inch dangerboy rocker arms, Marzocchi 66vf, Race face Diablous group, Azonic Headlock and Aframe pedals, full XT drive train.
Bottom Line:For the price this wheel set has no competition! For three years I have dropped, jumped, crashed, and DH'd this wheel set without a problem. THREE YEARS!!!! And so far they have only been trued just once and that took no time at all. People, three years on the same set of DH/FR wheels? How much more proof do you need? Not to mention I am not gentle on my bikes at all! I've demolished some incredible parts while this wheel set was on my bike. Including a RaceFace Diablous handlebar! That was my fault though and nothing more. My only complaint this wheel set gets (and it a complaint not a weakness) is that my Maxxis tires are tough to get off the rim. But I went out and got a set of Park oversized metal tire levers and that does the job. Still for the money there is no better wheel. If and when I trash these I will get the exact set of wheels to replace them. Ride on and I can't say it enough BUY THESE!!!

Bottom Line:Front wheel wouldn't turn freely with 20mm adapters. Was binding. Rear hub came apart after less than 10 hrs of riding! Total garbage-would not let my mom go to the store with these wheels. Spend a few $ more and get something like No Tube Flows or Easton AMs. Twice the price but worth it!

Been riding about 4 hours every day for around 3-4 months and not a single problem. Strengths:cheap, strong rims.
    Weaknesses:Machine build, rear hub.
    Bike Setup:VP-Free
Bottom Line:You pay for what you get. Great deal for the doh.. Needed a wheelset to build up my frame on the cheap. $250 was less than almost any other rear hub alone. Rear wheel loosened up and had to re tension the wheel after a month or so. wheel stayed true and only noticed one day hoisting the bike onto the rack, "holy cr%* those spokes are loose". Six monthes into it had 5 spokes pop on one ride. I thought my front tire was throwing up pebbles that were pinging off the frame. Halfway through the ride I noticed 3 broken spokes by the end there were 5. Relaced the wheel and prorley tensioned and it has been fine and true since. One year into it (6-10 hours on trail per week year round) the rear hub has finally given up. New hub should be here tomorrow. But agian I am paying $210 for the hub alone. Even with five broken spokes the rear rim stayed true and got me home. I would recommend this wheelset, especially if you are handy with a spoke wrench for the initial tensioning the machine just can't manage in the beginning. I probably would not have had to re lace my rear wheel if I had done it sooner.

Come to find out the teeth the Pawls engage on somehow striped free from the hub. HOLY COW I've never seen that before! I have another set on my back up bike, so far they are holding together.

Strengths:pretty darn strong considering how cheap priced they where, not bad at all.
Weaknesses:they look likee sh** , not too creative in the cosmetic department, but it all gets scratched up anyways... whatever.

Bike Setup:Jamis Diablo, minion/high roller combo, a travis 180, Fox, fsa, bla bla bla.
    Bottom Line:

At first, I bought this wheel set because I was desparate for a cost-savy 150mm wheel set, and, well... they were there so I bought em. Did not expect em to last that long, planned to replace them within a few months,.. now, I'm contemplating getting another set!

I like the fact that they have a 36 hole set up, and, yes, they have a surprizing strength to weight ratio. they have been alright to me. I have really beat the crap out of these rims, both intentionally and untentionally, and one warrentied frame later, after a bent saddle, tweaked shock hardware, a shear'd deraillure, and a pair of shredded MAXXIS 2ply DH casting tires, these rims still remain! A little scratch up and slightly untrue, but thats more then I can say for the rest of the bike.

They are no DEE Max's or double tracks, but they are nice, about equal in class to the sun ringle single track wheel set, somewhere in that range, maybe better, who knows?... very nice, and definately worth a try....

Bottom Line:Good and strong, but the rear wheel bearings have seized and require replacement after five rides. Not cool, and points to either (or both) cheap bearings with no business in wheels destined for hard use or shoddy work in the overseas factory (gorilla gripping on the wrench during assembly). Otherwise no other problems and the adapters all work well, but I think a wheel should run more than six weeks and five rides before having bearing siezure.
