| Strengths: | Great tire for commuting and hopping on dirt trails along the commute route. Much better than slicks (less flats, cuts, etc.) More stable in rain also. If you are doing some MTBing on smooth sandy dirt roads this tire is great. I used them on a 3-day ride/camp on the White Rim Trail near Moab. They worked great. |
| Weaknesses: | None for its intended use. |
| Similar Products Tried: | slicks and semi slicks |
| Bike Setup: | Older MTB frame set-up for commuting |
| Bottom Line: | Great tire. |

| Strengths: | Mount easily, thick tread, quiet, good handling. |
| Weaknesses: | Not balanced - this cancels any benefit or strength |
| Similar Products Tried: | Michelin Wildgripper Rock, Continental Sport Contact, Continental Town and Country, Michelin Wildgripper City. |
| Bike Setup: | Ted Wojcik, CHris Kings, Mavic rims |
| Bottom Line: | Yes, these tires mount easily, they are quite and grip very well. They are not balanced and have a wobble to them. When my bike is on the stand the wheels will rock like a pendulum. You can imagine what that feels like at 25 MPH on the road. I have used them twice and can not stand them. If they were balanced they would be nice but this issue kills the whole tire value and benefit. I will probably send them to the Duke University Primate Center so they can make a tree swing out of them for a lemur. |

| Strengths: | Fast, quiet and smooth rolling tire. |
| Weaknesses: | A bit on the heavy side. |
| Bike Setup: | Marin IFT hardtail. Shimano XT. WTB rims and hubs. Avid BB7. RS Reba SL. Thomson. etc. |
| Bottom Line: | A very nice tire for the every-day commuter. I put these on my mountain hardtail, and commuting just became a lot more fun. These things roll with barely any resistance, and acceleration from dead stop is retardedly fast. I barely break a sweat now on my 10 mile commute. They're so freakin' quiet, that i have to cough or whistle to get people to hear me coming up on them. In fact, if i stop pedaling, i can barely hear myself roll. The grip on these is amazing, i can still cut super sharp corners without worrying about wiping out. There is a lot of sand where i ride, and i've had no problems with traction. They're a tad on the heavy side (i gained 0.5lbs by swapping my mountain rubbers for these), but the pros far outweigh this small con. With the smoothness and small rolling resistance you gain, the weight is not noticeable at all. Get these! You won't be disappointed! 5 flaming poos from me |

| Strengths: | *Used as a rear tire -A true 2.1" -crazy stable in high-speed,leaning turns on pavement..the faster, the better -QUIET!(ssshhhh) -suitable for urban stupidity (curbhopping, stairs, etc) -smooooooth rolling for the amount of tread |
| Weaknesses: | They didn't jump onto the rim all on their own and self-inflate...??? |
| Similar Products Tried: | Maxxis Holy Roller,various semi-slicks |
| Bike Setup: | Old-school Rockhopper Comp full-rigid with updated parts |
| Bottom Line: | Well sir,I like 'em....I like 'em a lot.Right out of the shop I mounted it on a trashed-out Specialized GX-26 rim because I just REALLY needed to ride that evening(since replaced with a Rhyno Lite rim). The thing creeps like a ninja and grips like glue.In spite of the taller side knobs it leans smoothly through turns with no scary transition. And I'm sorry, but if you had a hard time mounting/dismounting these you either have the wrong sized rim or have the hand strength of a crippled baby pygmy marmoset (no offense to any marmosets present). They come on and off no better or worse than any other wire beaded tire I've seen.Even if that wasn't the case, though,I think the performance benefits far outweigh any difficulty in mounting, which is hardly just cause to knock it 2 turds.5 flamin turds here. |

| Strengths: | rode well, no problems once they were mounted. |
| Weaknesses: | mounting/unmounting rear tire is a pain in the $%&@! I was so pissed because I couldn't remove the rear tire that I pulled out some wire cutters and cut the #$%& thing off! |
| Bike Setup: | Trek 6700 |
| Bottom Line: | I have good memories of Conti tires when I was a roadie, but these tires are a nightmare! They were so hard to mount/unmount that if I had a flat while on the road I would be in serious trouble. So I decided to switch to Tioga City Slicker. |

| Strengths: | Lots of tread for super grip on hard surfaces. Tread is close enough together so that rolling resistance is not as bad as a knobby. Quiet and smooth. |
| Weaknesses: | Heavy tire at 800+ grams each and a bit pricey. Also, the "Continental" word on the tire just came off when I was wiping the tire....now it's just a big, white spot where the name was. Looks dumb. |
| Similar Products Tried: | WTB EnduroRaptors, Cheng-shin slicks. |
| Bike Setup: | Mavic 521D rims......the rest doesn't matter. |
| Bottom Line: | I would buy these tires again for the kind of riding I do (mostly asphalt) only if something is done so that the "Continental" name doesn't come off. Maybe they should just eliminate the emblem all together. |

| Strengths: | Wow, these tires are so quiet on asphalt, you can hear every rock and leaf crunch. I think Continental should rename these tires to “Urban Stealth” or something like that. Cycle Cops might want to look at these tires for their rides as well, you can sneak up on folks easily. These tires worked well on packed and rocky trails and floated well over the occasional sandy spots. The thickness and depth of tread helps stop the desert thorn, flat tire problem I have here in El Paso. This is a good all purpose tire, just like a "all season radial tire" for a car, does most things well but will not work in extreme conditions. |
| Weaknesses: | Heavy, this is the heaviest tire that performance bike sells, and I sure notice it when I am moving the bike around. |
| Similar Products Tried: | Maxxis Worm Drive, |
| Bike Setup: | 2003 GT 2.0 I-Drive completely stock except for these tires. |
| Bottom Line: | Very good tire, I love the way they corner on the street and easily handle the trails. I have been riding and scared a few pedestrians walking dogs when I fly by them at night. From other reviews I have read about this tire and in my opinion it does what it was designed to do very well. I will buy these again. They look nice on the bike, too!!! |

| Strengths: | The reason I bought these tires is simple I ride tons of street! And what I mean by that is I do a lot of technical stair gaps manuals nose wheelies fufanu's basically I do BMX tricks on a MTB bike. These tires are thick and tough! The ride is smooth as a baby's well you know what I mean. They work great on packed dirt, sand and all that loose crap. For an all around street tire and basic trails (Do not ride DH on these LOL) they rule. |
| Weaknesses: | Don't know havent found any yet |
| Bike Setup: | Haro Extremme frame Stratos Helix Pro rear shock, Marzocchi JR T fork, race face prodigy DH cranks with ISIS bottom bracket and a bunch of other crap 7" of lovin LOL |
| Bottom Line: | As I said above these tires are very nice. They are great for all around use and that does not mean DH and other crazy crap some of you Psychos do :-). I haven't found anything better yet. I will never give a perfect score on anything man made. Since we are human and make mistakes I am sure there has to be something wrong I just haven't found it yet. |

| Strengths: | Excellent multi-use tire |
| Weaknesses: | Not very well stocked by most dealers |
| Similar Products Tried: | Kenda, Michelin |
| Bike Setup: | Older Fuji Sundance--a legacy mountain bike that was my first; ancient but still lotsa fun |
| Bottom Line: | I wanted a respectable cross tire to cover most all conditions except for extreme off-road and DH. Most of my riding is on hardpack, asphalt, packed dirt, gravel and sand. I was surprised how well these work on gravel and sand while still handling asphalt so well. While I haven't taken them thru lotsa mud, the experience I had with them on wet and partially muddy trails was also impressive. Overall, they are excellent with great handling and braking control. Another bonus is that they work well with ridgid bikes with their fat cross section. I got exactly what I wanted. They also look good. If you need a good cross tire, I don't think you can do much better. |
