from Winnipeg, MB, Canada Date Reviewed: May 14, 2007 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Purchased At: | Gord's | | Strengths: | Very strong tire, almost indestructible and impossible to pinch flat Excellent grip on all surfaces except for mud so far. | | Weaknesses: | The downside to the indestructibility is that the 4ply sidewall makes these tires very heavy. | | Similar Products Used: | Maxis Minion, Kenda Nevegal and Bluegroove | | Bike Setup: | Ellsworth Moment | | Bottom Line: | Great tire if you need loads of grip and don't want to have to worry about pinch flats and don't mind the extra weight. Perfect tire for dowhnhill and freeride | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from vancouver Date Reviewed: September 25, 2003 | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Strengths: | great traction, low rolling resistance | | Weaknesses: | weak sidewalls | | Bottom Line: | wicked traction, esp on wet roots, etc (i ride north shore), but the sidewalls are too weak and wear out nearly as fast as the rubber (you can't get such great traction though without the soft rubber). anyway, pinch flats are a problem because of this. they roll real fast which is nice. very solid. a good free ride tire, but not the best. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Arvada Co. USA Date Reviewed: June 18, 2003 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | These tires stick very well in corners rocks and roots. this tire is not only good for dh but works well for freeride mountaincross and dirt jumping. they dont flat unless you have the tire pressure to high and blow the tube. | | Weaknesses: | none yet. | | Similar Products Used: | maxxis MoFo, tioga | | Bike Setup: | stock bullit R freeride with hayes and mrp | | Bottom Line: | This tire works well in all conditions but don't buy the sticky rubber unless you wan'tto replace them every week. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$20.00 | | Purchased At: | buckingham bikes | | Strengths: | Considering how fat this is, it rolls really well on both urban and dirt. The large spread out knobs make it easy to clean as well. | | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | none are so grippy in all weather. | | Bottom Line: | I got my tires a lot cheaper, about £15 cheaper. They are worth every pennie it costs, and if your tires are going everywhere, these will stop that. They do ware out abit, but ive been riding intense rubber for 3 months, and about 1 mm of rubber has come of. They are worth it for the nice fat sidewalls alone. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$30.00 | | Purchased At: | buckingham bikes | | Strengths: | The best when it comes to grip. So so thick sidewalls. | | Weaknesses: | too good | | Similar Products Used: | tioga 2.1- its mega thin, you get punchers all the time | | Bike Setup: | "proper english mud" set-up | | Bottom Line: | The second I put these on, a massive difference could be felt. I got the back first, and it hasnt slipped once!!!(no lies) Aint got one puncture. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Norwaii Date Reviewed: August 5, 2002 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | Useable on hardpack and gravel.. | | Weaknesses: | The rubber sux, I used the tyre for 8-10 days of riding and they shut down, front and back!!! (And I'm not the most hardcore rider out there!) The knobs simply fall of after some use. Then the cord and tube comes out... KABOOOOOM!!! And in wet condition they are pretty useless, side knobs are too small, and give a bad grip!
My friend got the 2.5/2.7 DH vesion and they have the same problems. A bit stronger though, but... | | Similar Products Used: | Gazzaloddi 2.6 jr. (Buy these, they're heavy but strong as h"#¤). | | Bike Setup: | Bullit w/5th. element and Z1 drop off, WTB DH, Race Face ++ | | Bottom Line: | I would not recomed these tyres to anybody!!! They wear fast and gets thorn up easily! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from London Date Reviewed: July 22, 2002 | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | Cycle Centre | | Strengths: | Quality, they're intense, strong side walls can be run extramly low pressure | | Weaknesses: | Slightly pricely, hard to get on to some rims
| | Similar Products Used: | Gazzaloddi, 2.3/2.6 jnr, Tioga | | Bike Setup: | Cortina DH8, Shiver DC, D321 on Hope hubs and M4 brakes, | | Bottom Line: | These tires rock, I run them at 20psi and the traction is unbelivable, maybe not to hot in the mud, (Intense muds for that)but one of the best tires I have ever used.
Buy them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
