| Bottom Line: | Best wet weather tire I've ever ridden. I can't think of a surface this tire has done bad on but on loose mud, wet roots, wet leaves this tire shines. The best thing about it is that when it does slide (which is bound to happen in rain) it is so predictable and never just washes out suddenly. I run this tire at a low pressure and have not had excessive problems with flats. The only bad thing is that I think it is discontinued and I cannot find more. If you find a pair buy them! |

| Bottom Line: | To me the most important attribute of tires on my mountain bike are traction, especially in corners. As long as these are mounted in the right direction (they are directional tires), they corner far better than any tires I've ever ridden on, even in loose gravel. |

| Strengths: | Anyone who is having problems in the corners with these tires, do not have them set up right. Never, never, ever ride these tires in HARD mode. The tread pattern will always want to through you out of the turn. Always ride in soft mode no matter what you're riding on. They will always grip up and hold any turn you take. |

| Strengths: | The grip in mud, and climb very well in both dry and muddy conditions. Even with dry weather you can get out of saddle on a climb and tire still grabs. Teal Green Sides. Directionals: Can be turned around for better grip in what ever riding conditons your in. |

| Bottom Line: | They are a great tire for off road use do not use them on the street or they will wear fast. I like them alot for muddy sloppy conditions they grip well and seem to keep clean if you keep pedaling. They don't seem to corner great at high speeds on hard pack the knobby's are soft and it feels as if they "roll" while in a turn. I have the front tire direction set for hard pack and the rear set for muddy condtions and the front still feels loose on the hard pack. A friends Panaracer Fire X pros seem to corner much better. If you can find them cheap and you want a good mud tire then pick them up. |

| Bottom Line: | They are a good tire. I bought them because the Hutchinsons wore out too fast, and I was sliding through and falling on loose over hardpack corners. They were good tires for 2 weeks... I wanted a replacement tire, and these tires are highly rated. I tried them, and must agree. They are fairly fast rolling, and grip really good on hardpack, and loose sand/debris. Cornering is awesome. I can actually cut a deeper corner with more confidence and no unbalance, slipping, washing out etc. I may have found a new favorite, especially for the price. I like these tires, and so will you. These tires are good in Georgia clay hardpack.These tires would rock in Vancouver in the dry (haven't tried in wet yet)and in the Don Valley in Toronto. |

| Bottom Line: | I have read alot of these other reviews saying how they don't corner well or climb. If you know the first thing about high speed corners and are used to climbing with anything other than a semi slick you will love these tires. I did two fifteen milers this week on a brand new set in varied conditions, including fist sized loose rock, and bomber single track for stretches in between. If you're still skeptical then grab a pair of Sedona's. If you're ready for a serious tire that can hook up in anything than step up to the Blade. peace. |

| Bottom Line: | My favourite winter tire. In wet muddy rides this tire is fantastic. I have never had the front tire slide out from me on wet slimy muddy roots or logs. Give you confidence in the wet where other tires will leave you scared. I am trying to purchase a 2.25 size Blade tire for the front to see if I can get more float for the technical downhill trails I ride. If you are in the wet season and you like roots and logs and rocks, this is your tire. |

| Bottom Line: | It's been raining here in S. Florida since I got this tire which was mounted on the front. It works OK under those conditions, at least as good as other tires I've tried.But we stopped at Santos for a I'm driving that way (quickie) ride. Santos had not been getting the rain like S. FL. Cornering in the sand very difficult. Could not get a read on how the tire would react. It has a very round profile that never seems to bite in the soft conditions. Several climbs I,m used to making weren't made. Bummer.Then changed tires during lunch. Put back on the front a Team Control 2.0 and mounted the Blade on the back (again in the soft direction whatever that means as there is no explaination with the tire and E-mails to the company go unanswered). What an improvement. The Blade grips when driving on any surface, even dry. And, the team control was MUCH better up front. Could pick my lines through sandy turns, wide or tight.As a rear tire 4 chilis, an all purpose front tire 1 chili, front tire for the mud 4 chilis. That averages out to a 3 but I feel a 2 is better as I don't want to have to change tires at every ride. |

| Bottom Line: | I've tried most of the Geax's and they are the only tires I'll ride. The Blade 200 is a great tire in the soft stuff, loose dirt, chunky gravel, mud and wet. It's not bad on hardpack either, but a Geax Hubi (see review), or Sedona does better for hard/dry conditions. They are lighter and better handling than any other full knobby I've tried; it even beats the Warp on the front. Blades roll easy too, 'cause you can run them at higher pressures and still feel connected because the casing design makes the tire more supple, just like all Geax's. There is a 225 size Blade, for those who need more float or some downhill meat. I use a Sedona rear, I get just the right amount of skid in the back with the Blade up front holding the line. Or you could put a Blade 185, Hook or Grid 200 on the back and climb like a tractor. Anyway you do it, there is a Geax tire to fit your needs/riding style and they whip all ass in MTB tire technology today. I have tried alot of different rubber, and none of 'em can hang wit da Green Bombs.....check 'em out! |

| Bottom Line: | came by these tires accidentily, I ordered Sedonas and received blades. talk about serendipity, these tires perform very well under the conditions I typically ride - adobe, gravel, sand, loose stuff. they cut corners sharply, have excellent traction, climb sandy trails with ease and they are not overly obnoxious on the little bit of asphalt I ride to get started. big improvement over my bontrager ss, which did only slightly better on the hard stuff but lacked seriously in the sand. |

| Bottom Line: | I have used a lot of tires in 12+ years of riding and the blade front is excellent for the typical so-cal conditions...smooth, fast and very confidence inspiring...like velcro on hardpack. Not harsh at high pressures. A little lacking in sand and nasty loose stuff...could use a bigger casing/tread width there. Still, I am very impressed. Four chiles (would be five if 2.1 tire size) I am not a lightweight (180) and a little more tire would be good for flotation and pinch resistance. PS: matching hook rear is good, but not as great as the blade in front. |

| Bottom Line: | I bought this front tire about five months ago, and have put almost any kind of torture I can on it. Downhill Dirt Washed Out Roads, Trails, Singletrack, Pavement, etc... Nice, and never lost traction once, even in the snow last thursday and it was almost a foot deep. Not a real performer in the weigt class, but it is super fast oon trails, and I trust it. |

| Bottom Line: | I JUST HAD MY FIRST RIDE ON GEAX 2.0 BLADE, MOUNTED FRONT AND REAR IN THE HARD DIRECTION. THE WEATHER WAS COLD 22 DEGREES. THESE TIRES HOOKED UP WELL GOING UPHILL. THEY ALLOWED ME TO TAKE TIGHT, INSIDE LINES, WHICH I WAS NEVER ABLE TO TAKE WITH WTB'S. FOR MY FIRST IMPRESSION, I GIVE THESE TIRES 5 FLAMING DIVETS!! Run pressure semi soft to hard depending on your plush suspendsion - not to spungie to avoid pinch flats. little pricey but woth it. not recommended in shailie rock they wont last long. this is an update: i have continued to ride the blade up front in the hard direction, at 48 lbs. i only have one, so i have been running the sedona 2.0 in the soft direction at 46 lbs. (this combo is very fast--almost as fast as the bonty ss, but far more forgiving) this is on a hardtail (c-dale f-1000). i weigh 150, and ride a wide variety of terrain. this tire is amazing. i have tried them all, and reviewed most of them on this site. the blade is my new favorite. it is supremely grippy; grippeir than you at first realize. oddly, the tire feels like it is going to slip, but continues to dig in. i actually passed a friend on a tricky tight turn/rough downhill with this tire. he was shocked, and so was i. i truly think the tire allowed me to perform this maneuver without killing myself. a mtb mag stated it was skittish on hardpack, but so far, i must disagree. the tire is light, nice feel, low rolling resistance, grippy and strangely green! p.s. i think the tire sticks best at a lower pressure (but not too low). |

This is a truely predictable tire that has so much reassurance in its predicatable grip that it will encourage you to be a better more advanced fater rider. It will not let you down when looking for braking traction turning traction or fast rolling ability, this is one well made tire, you cannot beat it for a ride where conditions are consantly changing, mud hard pack root forest. It does work best in the wetter conditions, but is no problem as it drys out, if it get dryer you should change to slicks any how. I have not tried them on the back and don't personally think that they would work that well as the recommended width of 1.85 for the rear will make it too nervous over rocks and it would not be able to hold a slable line, also at that width there will not be that much surface left to brake on, but what the hey. it rocks as a front tire, the only problem being it silly green band on the side wall but for this kind of performance I could live with it even if it was pink! |

Geax makes a tire for any condition. i am now convinced after trying the hook/warp, sedona and finally the blade, that these are the best tires to be had. i have mailed deetz and ibis--they responded personally! they were helpful in my choice of tires. the sedonas are an excellent all-around tire. they will take you anywhere. i rode the blade only once, but find it to be amazingly sticky. the knobs are tall, so they flex a bit on hardpack, but they maintain a very connected feel to the trail. they are so grippy, i had trouble getting it to slide at all. i ran it at 53 psi, in both directions--i weigh 150. i would say the sedonas are allarounders, best suited for mid to hardpack, while the blades are best in looser conditions. realize that these tires are truly unique: i have tried most of the tires on this site, so i know. they are light. they have an excellent feel--very supple. rolling/pedaling resistance is incredibly low. they track and corner well. they also seem to hold up!!! i think everyone should have 3 sets of tires: reverts for lightening quick riding. sedonas for all-around riding. blades for more tenacious grip, or if you're unsure of the terrain. no hype--these tires work. |

| Bottom Line: | Hey one chile guy who rides this tire on the street -- get a grip (on some dirt!). And don't blame your idiot dealer -- one look at this thing ought to tell you NOT A STREET TIRE! I like this one a lot, rode it 6 hours in the san gabriel mtns this week in all kind of conditions and had no problems. Don't judge this tire by its street performance, but by how it handles 10 mile, 4000 vertical foot single track descents through varied conditions. |
