from Szolnok, Hungary Date Reviewed: May 7, 2008 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Price Paid: |
$20.00 | | Purchased At: | http://ebike.hu | | Strengths: | Light, durable, dependable on wet surfaces as well, fast | | Weaknesses: | No 26x1.95/2.1 available for rear:-), the full protection version should be a bit cheaper. No foldable version | | Similar Products Used: | Schwalbe City Marathon, Marathon Slick | | Bike Setup: | Magellan Serpens frame, Ritchey Fuzzy, Manitou R7 w/LockOut, Sun DS2XC / Rodi FR, Novatec hubs, DT Champion, Deore shifting/drivetrain, Avid BB7, Ritchey/BBB/Ike acc's, SPD | | Bottom Line: | I use these tires to go to work on weekdays; Hungarian cities' bike roads are similar to XC trails:-(. High risk of puncture: snakebite, glass pieces, tank mines... But no problem with these slicks. Easy to accelerate and brake them. Weak point: on the rear gear a 1.95 or 2.1 size would be nicer; you know, better comfort feel and better LOOK!!! I want a foldable OverDrive, please!!!:-) On city trails I think one of the best buys. Also OK for very light trails. For MTB road trips, city trips, go to work with your XC bike | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
