      Date Reviewed: 1/30/2008 6:52:14 PM
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
Strengths: Ability to run very low psi (8 to 25psi) as a winter tire. 62 durometer works well in cold (temps ridden to minus 20F). Beadlock allows easy gluing of one side to rim. Great traction on groomed, packed, and ice chunk snow. 24"x3" fits where 26"x3" has problems. Offers a usable/unique wide tire/wheel option for winter riding.
Weaknesses: First thought when tire is in hand is that is a little heavy, but it comes up to speed quickly when on a 24" rim.
Similar Products Tried: Surly Endomorph, IRC Trail Bear, Kenda Kinetic
Bike Setup: Winter bike wheelset for Surly 1x1-canti bosses removed, 24" large marge rims, XT fr hub, Hope disc front, White
Industries Eno rear, Surly dingle cog
Bottom Line: Would recommend to anybody looking for winter packed trail riding who has a frame that can handle 26x2.7 tires. Not the tire for someone not ready to make a 24" rim commitment, or not willing to remove canti bosses. Quality of tire casting very good. Relatively easy DH tire to mount on rim.
