$55.00 | | Purchased At: | LBS | | Strengths: | EXCELLENT cornering - superb handling and generous tyre size for the 2" rating. Fast rolling on all surfaces, and heavy braking on gravel with the front brake doesn't result in a front wheel lockup. | | Weaknesses: | Price! A$59.99 is quite steep for a tyre, considering the LBS sells Larsen TTs for A$40, cheaper online. Tread doesn't look like it will shed mud easily, although mud is hard to come by in these parts at this time of year. | | Similar Products Used: | Maxxis Larsen TT, generic knobbies | | Bike Setup: | 1997 Gemini Echo Beach, Deore FD, Deore XT RD, Alivio cranks and shifters, Larsen TT on rear wheel | | Bottom Line: | Although expensive, I'm very happy with this tyre on the front. Grips well, corners extremely well, and is also reversible to provide added traction if required. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$30.00 | | Strengths: | Very solid tire, real declared section, fast rolling and great grip on dry terrain | | Weaknesses: | Not a product for very muddy trails... | | Bike Setup: | Bianchi Mutt 7700 - RS Recon 351 Solo Air - XT/LX | | Bottom Line: | I've used this tyres for 10 months. I've used the version 2.2 TNT with the tube.
Great on dry terrain, very fast and high-rolling, never loose grip. Not a very good tyre where mud is excessive.
If you like to have a secure driving on descent trails but having a good traction on sloping trails, this is a good tyre! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$290.00 | | Purchased At: | Cycle Factory Store | | Strengths: | Kinda fast rolling | | Weaknesses: | Everything else. Absolute rubbish as front tire. Lost traction in corners and grip on sgl track. They'll be coming off today. | | Similar Products Used: | Kenda's, Specialized, Maxxis, Michelin | | Bike Setup: | Titus Racer X Carbon | | Bottom Line: | RUBBISH! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | LBS | | Strengths: | Excellent cornering tire; medium sized knobs grab every kind of terrain...even light mud! Super, super light (especially the 29er size). Interlocking center tread provides for fast rolling and low resistance. Amazing tires on hard pack, rocks and roots. One TNT version made in white walls...they're sick! | | Weaknesses: | I wish they had a 2.3. Otherwise, no complaints | | Similar Products Used: | Bontrager, Kenda, Maxxis, WTB, Hutchinson...pretty much all of them. | | Bike Setup: | Rigid XC 29er with Saguaros! 4x/pump track bike with Saguaros! | | Bottom Line: | This is, to date, the best tire I've ever ridden...period. It's amazing how well they grip and even more amazing how well they hold up. I just can't wreck this tire! from Austin, TX Date Reviewed: July 28, 2007 | | Favoriate Trail: | The ones the FEDS don't know about | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | 40 | | Strengths: | Fast, Light, Smooth Rolling, good grip in corners and in smooth pack | | Weaknesses: | Not excellent climber, doesn't like loose climbs or limestone (which is a problem in the hill country). Doesn't clear mud worth a damn | | Similar Products Used: | intense cc2.3's (the best (for the hill country), and unfortunately discontinued) | | Bottom Line: | It's alright. If you ride dry smoothpack all the time, you'll really like these. However, on loose ascents the rear wheel will just spin around unless you're all the way back in the saddle. Just finished mudding them, and the cornering was unexpectedly poor (considering dry cornering is very good). The 2.23s are very fast for their size; just not nearly as grippy as others in loose packed surfaces. On the bright side, they're better than a lot of tires, and if you like smooth, fast riding, or even some urban assualt, these tires do pretty well. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from SE Michigan Date Reviewed: April 27, 2007 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Price Paid: |
$45.00 | | Purchased At: | Trails-Edge.com | | Strengths: | This review is for the Saguaro foldable High Performance model for use with tubes. Smooth rolling and very quiet tread. Very grippy on smooth hard pack turns. Very easy to install on tubeless rims. Directional, for more grip, or turn it around for fast, smooth rolling. Lots of edges for better bite. | | Weaknesses: | The tire didn't like loose climbs. It could be rider weakness too. New unproven design. | | Similar Products Used: | Hutchinson Python Air Light UST | | Bike Setup: | Cannondale Scalpel with 2.20/2.00 (F/R) | | Bottom Line: | So far I like these tires. They grip better and feel fast, sturdy, and I feel more confident on this tire compared to the Pythons. A solid feeling tire at whats seems to me like a very light weight. They roll fast and are a good choice for most SE Michigan trails. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
