$10.00 | | Purchased At: | online shop | | Strengths: | rolls good, grip is very good (for a CC tire), fits the rim ;.) | | Weaknesses: | a bit to sleek for a 2.0, looks retro... | | Similar Products Used: | a lot | | Bike Setup: | Singlespeed bike | | Bottom Line: | for the litte money i paid (18 Euros the pair!)i got a tire, that has a very low rolling resistance and really good grip.
I have the LRC folding bed version.
Because there is so much rubber on the tread, it weighs a tad too much. So I cut a little bit off the tread on front, which also gives a profile that is more like the old IRC Mythos front.

from Northern CT, USA Date Reviewed: June 19, 2008 | | Favoriate Trail: | Winding Trails Race Course | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Purchased At: | Race give-away | | Strengths: | This tire is pretty much a similar tread pattern to WTB's Velociraptor front. I first started using this with my Velociraptor rear, but found myself keeping it on no matter what was on the rear. It is very predictable and provides adequate traction in most conditions. | | Weaknesses: | For an all-conditions tire like it is, it works well in many situations, but doesn't quite master them all. A bit sketchy in sand, but what tire isn't? | | Similar Products Used: | Panaracer Fire XC Pro, Kenda Karma, WTB Primal Raptor | | Bike Setup: | Jamis Dakar XC with Race Face, Thompson, and XTR goodies. | | Bottom Line: | For a tire I got for free, I can't say anything bad about it. It has been on my bike since the day I got it no matter what the trails looked like. Mud, sand, hardpack; it handles it all in a pretty light package. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
