Favoriate Trail:All of 'em!
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $29.00
Purchased At:Came w/Specialized Rockhopper
Strengths:VERY fast on roads, fairly quiet, makes climbing a snap, great coasting.
Weaknesses:This tire was made for roads and LIGHT XC, not rooty/rocky trails.
Bike Setup:Specialized Rockhopper Disc
Bottom Line:The front doesn't absorb rooty trails very well, and the rear will definitely kick out on you due to the lack of grip on rocks and roots. A fairly technical trail will definitely be a challenge with these tires. Expect to lose a bit of control. I plan on going with Maxxis Holy Rollers when these begin to slightly wear out. I need trail grip. That being said, this is an outstanding tire if you're going to be doing more street than trail riding.

Favoriate Trail:Santos
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Came with the Bike
Strengths:Low rolling resistance, good for dry single track and street, tight wire bead
Weaknesses:Pain to remove, tight wire bead
Bike Setup:2008 Specialized Rockhopper
Bottom Line:This tire is great. I have the LK (low knob) version of this tire and it is absolutelly a charm out on the trail. When I do technical trails the tire hugs the rocks and doesn't slip. Jumps are easily absorbed by this tire as well without the worry of breaking it. I will definetly get the same tire again once this one is worn down. I do approx. 40/60 trail/street and this tire feature the best of both worlds.

Date Reviewed: July 25, 2007
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Pretty good in the dry stuff, handles dusty dirt trails pretty well.
Weaknesses:Slick on the wet stuff, esp. roots, trees etc. Rear tire likes to kick out. Does not clear mud well at all, which prevents it from hooking up when needed.
Bike Setup:Specialized Rockhopper Comp Disc w/ some mods
Bottom Line:An OK tire if all you ride is dry trails, but I wouldn't recommend it for much else, the tires came stock on the bike, and I plan to switch out as soon as possible.

Favoriate Trail:any were in nor cal!
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Strengths:Product shines on the front tire.
Weaknesses:Rear tire sucks! I ride in loose terrain and this tire does not suite that at all.
Similar Products Used:Everything
Bike Setup:super fast
Bottom Line:This is a great tire for entry level riders. But riders and espeacially racers will want a more confident tire that requires less negoitoting with the terrain.

Date Reviewed: December 13, 2006
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $26.00
Purchased At:On yer bike
Strengths:Great XC tire - good combo of grip and little rolling resistance. Good puncture protection with kevlar i believe. Purple under layer which is revealled when the tire gets worn down
Weaknesses:An absolute pain to remove off the wheel. A very tight fit
Similar Products Used:Specialized Enduro
Bike Setup:05 Avanti lightning, 05 Specialized Hardrock
Bottom Line:Ideal tirefor XC! Horrible to remove but with the puncture protection of kevlar you wont need to. Retains grip after many miles, and is quite a fast tire. A great tire at a great price!
