Description:The competition tire for deep, muddy tracks. Small, high lugs and a sturdy rubber compound provide outstanding grip on soft ground. In the narrow version less dirt can accumulate, so the weight of the rotary mass remains small - a clear advantage in races. So it’s more suitable for Dual Slalom, Cross and Downhill competitions.

$120.00 | | Purchased At: | Markham Cyclepath | | Strengths: | Does what is says, sticks in mud/snow and is very light... | | Weaknesses: | None. Use it for the purpose it is designed for and you are good to go. | | Similar Products Used: | None. | | Bike Setup: | 2005 Trek Fuel EX-7. | | Bottom Line: | This is a great skinny nobby tire for racing or riding in less than ideal conditions. At sub 400g a tire, it is really light and the tread design is great as it allows the tire to dig in and not get plugged up with mud.... Run (don't walk) to your LBS and get a set. I used them for the 2008 Uxbridge Ice Breaker and they worked like a charm. They even rolled well on the concession roads too. No kidding... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Dresher, PA Date Reviewed: July 18, 2005 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Purchased At: | Online | | Strengths: | Mud specific design. Skinny with deep lugs. Cuts through the mud and gets you traction. While keeping the rotating weight down and not allowing alot of mud to pack the tread. | | Weaknesses: | Not really a weakness, but this tire should not be used for any conditions other than mud rides. If there is no mud the performance will drop off significantly. | | Similar Products Used: | Tried alot of different tires, but none that were mud specific like this. | | Bike Setup: | Intense Tracer with all the goodies. | | Bottom Line: | I like this tire and its construction. I'm impressed with the cornering grip and overall traction that a mud specific tire can provide. I would buy this tire again, and will probably try other Scwalbe tires based on the good construction and quality of this tire. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$60.00 | | Purchased At: | Redbike, Edmonton | | Strengths: | Snarly grip in slush - the best winter tire I've found. | | Weaknesses: | Pretty goofy on ice... and pretty pricy, too. | | Bike Setup: | Jamis 1.0 converted to single speed | | Bottom Line: | Sweet in slush - far superior to the big fat tires I've been running the last 5 years. I can't help but wonder, though, if there's somehting else out there as good or better for less. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
