| Bottom Line: | You can survive chain suck. You can survive broken seat bolts. You can even survive broken pedal axles. But you are gonna break your neck if you loose a stem at speed. I got lucky and mine broke while I was loading it onto my truck mount. The design of these face clamp welds is dangerous. Too much stress over too small an area. Don't use this stem on real mountain bikes. However, at 130 grams (+/-) and $20 it's a great way to lighten your girlfriend's/wife's bike that gets ridden around the neighborhood. |
