    Date Reviewed: March 30, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $63.00
    Purchased At:Bikeman
Strengths:Choice construction; able to sequence bar torque, and steerer clamp torque.
    Weaknesses:A Carbon/Aluminum front plate seems do-able; it's a great stem.
    Similar Products Used:XC type stems
Bike Setup:2005 IronHorse Warrior HT; Marzocchi Drop Off 130mm; BSH Designs 'Prison' bars; Troy Lee Designs mini-crossbar pad; FSA DH300 stem, FSA SL-K saddle & post; FSA Team Issue Carbon Pro 175mm crankset; e.thirteen 38T DH CR/ e.thirteen SRS chainguide w/ Supercharger ring; Full Metal Jacket Cabling; 7" F/ 6" R Hayes w/ MX2 calipers; FSA Scatto Skewers, welded 3/8" longer for R thick dropouts; Kenda Nevegals Stick-E 2.1 and/or Kenda Kwest 1.95 tires; soon Small Block Eights.
Bottom Line:An excellent change! I like to carry my front wheel over ALOT of terrian; this from performing 'speed jumps' during my BMX race days. This stems short length gets the front end up in the air and allows, my bike at least, a much more comfortable and consistantly found balance point on the rear wheel.
I upgraded my fork, which added wheelbase and height to the fornt end; but only a pinch of rake. I'd say the weight distribution over the front end is only slightly shifted rearward, but the same predictable carve through corners is found! It looks way tough and if FSA made padsets with a mini-crossbar pad, a nice sliver or chrome pad (hint-hint!) makes a complete front-end.

Submitted by Eric Haglund a Weekend Warrior from Brooklyn Park, MN, USA
    Date Reviewed: November 12, 2005
    Favoriate Trail:Lebanon Hills
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Purchased At:35.00 on line
Strengths:Indestructable, 1.5 available, rounded back edges, 3 cross bolt steerer mount.
    Weaknesses:Absolutely none
Similar Products Used:Race face Diablos, Cannondale 1.5 freeride
    Bike Setup:'04 Gemini 2000 w/upgrades.
Bottom Line:My Gemini originally came with a 2 bolt face plate Cannondale 1.5 stem and standard diameter bar. After nearly killing myself from the bar rotating foreward on landing a drop (twice), I tossed the Coda crap in the trash. This stem hasn't budged in two seasons of dropping in and occasionally crashing. Unlike the Diablos from Race Face the back end of this stem is rounded (still hurts to smack but no stitches required.
