      FavoriteTrail: straight through the woods
      Duration Product Used: 1 Year
      Price Paid: $80
Strengths: Lightest ever, strong, technically perfect and beautiful
      Weaknesses: Price
      Similar Products Tried: XTR stuff
Bike Setup: Trek OCLV97, rohloff, race face, eggbeaters, thudbuster, chris king, tune hubs, DT swiss, mavic, nokon, avid, ..
Bottom Line: Both of them weigh less than one XTR skewer. Never failed, strong. Clamp mechanism simple and extremely effective - and I do only ride where there is no trail or road.
      Worth the price

      Duration Product Used: 6 months
      Price Paid: $80
      Purchased At: Whizz Wheels
      Strengths: low weight, look nice
Weaknesses: not strong enough, clamp mechanism unsafe
Similar Products Tried: Shimano LX, XT, XTR, Salsa CroMoly
      Bike Setup: Trek 9900 OCLV
Bottom Line: The lightest available. But... not strong enough, at least when you are big. Especially wobbly, when you happen to use a light fork, too, as you will when you want to use these skewers. The bike is definitely more stable with solid steel ones. An the clamp mechanism is not awe inspiring either: there is no clear cut end point of the closure move, and the thing might just get into the way of the spokes. So I use the tune hubs (black) with Salsa CroMoly skewers, which suit nicely with respect to function, coulour and finish. To say something nice about tune: those tune hubs are top notch. I've used them for four years now, and they work splendidly under a heavy weught rider (220 lbs).
