| Strengths: | wheels haven't fallen off yet |
| Weaknesses: | loose wheels; quality of product seems cheap |
| Similar Products Tried: | Kona-brand skewers |
| Bike Setup: | 2004 C-dale Jekyll 800; 2005 C-dale 1FG Ultra |
| Bottom Line: | just read the reviews on this product because four days ago I purchased a C-dale 1FG Ultra (read review!) . . .the bike is freakin' amazing, but the skewers look and feel quite cheap. after reading the reviews, bells started to ring. i've had a heck of a time keeping the rear wheel on my C-dale Jekyll tight, straight and from becoming wobbly. I continuously check the skewer and it has seemed that the tire just didn't seat correctly due to the skewer; but i have never had such a problem w/a bike before. I'm now consider swapping these things out on both C-dales. |

| Duration Product Used: | 2 Years |
| Price Paid: | $10 |
| Purchased At: | On Your Bike, London, UK |
| Strengths: | * Cheap * Black * Cheap * Black * Cheap * Holds your wheel in place |
| Weaknesses: | Oh no! There're not titanium or a fancy anodised colour!! Help! |
| Similar Products Tried: | Shimano, Hope, Control Tech skewers |
| Bike Setup: | SERIOUSLY tricked out Cove Stiffee... apart from the Q/R skewers... :) |
| Bottom Line: | People have said all sorts of nasty things about these. But, I bought them to hold my wheels on, and they've never let me down. They are cheap, black and functional. Never given me ANY problems after 2 years of hard riding, and you won't hear a complaint out of me. Perhaps you guys got a bad batch..? One Chilli lost due to lack of "oooh, look at those skewers" factor - they're there to hold wheels in; nothing else. |

| Strengths: | Very few. |
| Weaknesses: | Can't hold wheel, Break easily. |
| Bike Setup: | C'Dale F700 |
| Bottom Line: | Rear skewer holds wheel wrong making entry and exit of dropouts a major pain. Front lets wheel wobble rubbing on the disc in the process. Broke front skewer trying to get it tight enough to hold wheel steady. Cannondale makes an execellent bike but cuts corners in strange places, like making a reliable skewer, and botches things that should be simple to get right. |

| Duration Product Used: | 1 Year |
| Price Paid: | $1300 |
| Purchased At: | Roswell Bicycles |
| Strengths: | It's a skewer? |
| Weaknesses: | Poor machining of the end caps which "bit" the frame. |
| Similar Products Tried: | Shimano |
| Bike Setup: | 2000 C'dale F900Z |
| Bottom Line: | Steven is correct. My friend and I both bought 2000 f900Z's. Beginning with our very first ride, we experienced trouble with the rear wheel remaining in the drop outs when under load. I never got hurt when this would occur, however, my friend wasn't as lucky. Several unsuccessful theories and fixes later, I finally isolated the problem to the machining of the skewer caps. After replacing the skewer caps with some off of my old Shimano skewers, which were machined with a very aggressive and deep pattern, they finally bit into the aluminum frame. We haven't experience the problem since then which was about 9 months ago. If you have the Coda skewers, REPLACE THEM BEFORE YOU GET HURT!!! 1 Chili because this is a serious problem. |

| Strengths: | Absolutely ZERO.... I don't want anybody to even suggest that the problem is not with the skewers. IT IS! |
| Weaknesses: | 3 times over the past 6 months, my rear wheel has fallen off while hammering. I was literally thrown over my handlebars once when my disc wedged within the caliper and locked up the wheel. |
| Bike Setup: | C'dale F2000SX (2000). |
| Bottom Line: | Cannondale better consider recalling these P'sOS. Lucky for them I wasn't hurt - I accept that problems exist with products that, despite testing, make it to full production - the problem here is not correcting the problem once they know it exists. Read the other reviews - you'll agree that this is not a fluke occurrence. |

| Strengths: | None - although I haven't crashed yet due to them |
| Weaknesses: | Doesn't hold the wheel in the dropout. Within a minute of any technical riding the rear wheel is almost rubbing against the left chainstay. |
| Similar Products Tried: | Shimano LX Control tech QR |
| Bike Setup: | 100% stock 2000 cannondale F800 Notos are a little less grippy, but roll FAST |
| Bottom Line: | I with craig from murfreesboro. These things simply don't hold the wheel in place. The wheel is rubbing the left chainstay by the end of any technical descent or after a couple of drop-offs. The coda expert hubs have been really nice, as with other coda components on my F800, but it appears a corner was cut here. Get yourself another pair of skewers, I have to now before I go riding today. I thought i would check other riders experiences to make sure It wasn't just me; it does seem to a problem for this year's (2000) Cannondales. It looks like unfortunate cost cutting for the consumer. The bike is truly the most amazing ride ever and I tried a lot of bikes before getting this one, but you would expect Cannondale quality down to the last small machined parts, like the skewers. value - they don't work so don't buy them. overall - 2 chili's cause they haven't injured me. |
