$125.00 | | Purchased At: | Roach | | Strengths: | Top notch ultra tough material, great looking but more importantly functional design. Great fit and very comfortable. Lots of padding available and fit nicely over the equally impressive Roach leg armour. | | Weaknesses: | Absolutely None! Well, maybe they were too good looking, I hated to get them dirty. They clean up like new though with a little soap & H2O.. | | Similar Products Used: | Fox 360 | | Bottom Line: | Well worth the money and the short wait. Don't be discouraged if you have to wait a few weeks, these aren't overseas production line pieces just being thrown together. I was overly impressed as soon as I opened the package. I had not seen any of their products before I placed my order. I received my armour a few weeks before and was already impressed. First class construction and comfort. Extremely durable materials, Tons of thought went into the design; zipper and velcro anckle closures, left and right side velcro close fly as well as L and R adjustable fit waist straps provide tons of adjustment. Winter clothing, no problem, loosen the strap(s), warmer weather, sinch em up a bit, perfect fit. I just ordered a pair of DH shorts for the summer. I highly recommend these if you couldn't tell from whats above. They also make some really sweeeeet frame protectors for dual crown forks(another extremely well thought out product not just some little rubber doughnut), first class!!
Not having very long gravity assisted trails in this part of PA we do a well rounded ride. A mix of climbs and short bombing rock strewn descents. I opted for the DH pant vs the Freeride because I wanted the hip and tail bone pads for xtra protection. I was hoping the pants wouldn't be too restrictive because the type of riding we have. They are perfect for any type of riding. Call them now 877-88ROACH ! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

a Downhiller
from Victoria, BC, Canada Date Reviewed: July 4, 2000 | | Favoriate Trail: | Never met a trail I didn't like | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | STRONG, yet pattern cut in all the right places, so no bunching. Great look, and it's CANADIAN AYE!! Removable foam pads to protect your tailbone, hips and shins. But lots of room for REAL armor too | | Weaknesses: | The 30 inch waist size seems a little short on the initial try out, I had three inches added to the leg length (now 36") and it covers my shins real nice | | Similar Products Used: | haven't found anything worthwhile
| | Bike Setup: | Trek 8000 | | Bottom Line: | If you want a little more protection for any kind of riding, these are the pants to buy, Roach even guarantees them for life... and with the way I ride, that could be a major savings in replacement clothing. Crap, just reread my comments, and this sounds like an advertisement, but I love the stuff. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
