$45.00 | | Purchased At: | www.Icyclesusa.com | | Strengths: | Quite and reliable shifting everytime. | | Weaknesses: | None so far. | | Bike Setup: | Specialized Rockhopper rebuilt with all new parts. XT everything else, race face, etc.. | | Bottom Line: | Great shifters. Quite, fast, smooth as anything. Don't spend a lot of money on shifters. These ones are fantastic! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$41.00 | | Strengths: | Looks cool... mine is the gold one... | | Weaknesses: | None... | | Similar Products Used: | Shimano Alivio | | Bike Setup: | Mozo R120 fork, Mosso slalon-M1 frame, Shimano Deore LX FD, Shimano Deore XT RD, Shimano Deore LX shifter, Avid Speed Dial 7 lever, Ameoba Borla control set and stem, Mavic DeeMax wheels, Maxxis Kraken tires, Shimano Deore XT hub, Avid Ball Bearing 7 disc brake (203mm rotor), Shimano Deore Hollowtech crankset, Shimano pedal PD515, Amoeba seat post (carbon fiber), Amoeba saddle | | Bottom Line: | My first rear D was an Alivio... it requires routinary adjustment due to miss shifts. Perhaps it is dur to the design since the Alivio was created for 8 speed only... had changed my read D with a XT (rapid rise) and now the performance of my bike is great. No more miss shifts and the adjustment lessens. Way to go Shimano...
