| Strengths: | Awesome. The Enduro is the Alpha and Omega to all my cycling saddles. I can ride with or without cycling shorts with NO discomfort. First time I could ever ride longer rides without cycling shorts. Makes it nice for shorter/casual jaunts on the tandem. No numbness for "the boys," and the shape also takes the jolt out of some of the seated hits on the trail. |
| Weaknesses: | I don't like the stitching on the top of the nose of the saddle a lot... or at least that area of the saddle could have a more rounded profile. (near the front of the cutout) |
| Similar Products Tried: | Liked WTB SST for a while, then got chafing in some not-so-nice areas due to the gradual transistion from the nose to the rear of the saddle. Then went to Avocet O2. Better taper (more abrupt with the "racing" version), but not as nice on the boys. Koobi is the best of both worlds. |

Anatomical slot along the entire top = super comfy. "Break in" time was only about 1 hour & mostly meant getting used to new contact points. Could be ignorance, but the "nose" is longer & flatter & seems to add comfort. The bike shop guy said this saddle is used a lot on road bikes... but his mtbiker boss swears by AU Enduro for dirt mongrels too. And he can buy whatever he wants. I like this saddle a lot. |

This saddle's main strength, in my opinion, is the design of the gap, or channel, or urethra/perineum ditch that provides an opening for blood to flow to my winkie while riding. Adjustment has been easier, as I don't have to tip the saddle as far down/forward to obtain pain/numbness free results. This was some of the best biking money I have spent. |

| Bottom Line: | The PRS Enduro is the nicest saddle I've put my butt on. It is a little wide but like a previous review wrote it is not an issue after a few rides. The elastomers really make a difference (especially on a hard tail) as they absorb a lot of the jolts that would normally hit your t'aint and lower back. No more sore spots or numbness because of the suspension and the center groove. Another strength not mentioned is that I can disassemble the entire saddle my self since you have to to change elastomers or to clean it and that way if you do damage something you don't have to ship the whole thing back. Did I mention it looks very trick? |

| Bottom Line: | Great saddle!! After going numb for the first 4 months of owning my bike, I extensively researched saddles, and decided on a Koobi. The higher end saddle with adjustable springs didn't make much sense, again due to lack of conformity. The real question is why didn't I just buy a Brooks saddle. The reason is the center trough, which unloads the nerves which innervate the pelvic area. Even with a Brooks this would be a problem. When I went to purchase a saddle for my son they didn't have the saddle in stock so Koobi forwarded a "Tri" saddle, and stated if I didn't want to keep it they would take it back when their order came in!! Great personal service, and we kept the Tri saddle. Highly reccommend Enduro Au |

I read a prior review in which the service was knocked, and I must say I had the opposite experience thanks to Phil at Koobi. I will write another review if any negatives surface otherwise I'll be busy riding. |

| Bottom Line: | Thought I'd give Phil some props for taking care of his customers. I bought a AU Enduro about 18 months ago on sale. What a great seat it fit me perfect, but if it didn't fit I had some time where I could have traded it out for another model. Anyhow I crashed going into a corner a few months ago and bent the rails. Most seat mishaps on the trail I've seen leave the seat and rails separated. On my seat the rails and seat were just bent so I could finish the ride. Koobi would inspect the seat and change the rails for $20. Mine ended up being broken in the nose, so they gave me a credit twords a new one. That translated to a 50% discount on a brand new seat. They could have told me the thing was toast and tough luck; crashes happen. Nice to see customer service these days |

| Bottom Line: | It did not take me any time to adjust to this saddle. I knew I wanted the weight on my sit bones. I tried a friends Koobi Si for a day and I was in heaven, so I decided to try one of Koobi's firmer ones. I have been very happy with it. My only complaint is that the nose of it is very pointy with the split thing going on and every so often my shorts catch on it. I'm going to put it on my road bike. I just bought a Terry Firefly to try something different on my mountain bike. It is a little narrower in the back which I like because it makes it easier for me to get behind the saddle. Also the nose is not as pointy. I hope it treats my toosh as well as the Koobi. Customer service was great when I broke it in a wreck. The saddle was about 6 months old and it broke after my bike sailed about 10 feet a good 4 feet in the air and landed square on the saddle. I sent it in to be repaired and was not asking or expecting it to be warrentied. I told them excactly what happened. I considered it my own fault. They sent me a new one. Great saddle, the best I've tried so far. |

This thing didn't hold up to ONE real ride,,,,,seriously!!!! One ride, 80$ you do the math. Oh yeah, customer service....there is none!!! They didn't believe that you could break one so easily....well you can. 90 day waranty....don't let it go 91...even if you just commuted with it. Seems that they don't back up their products....too bad that a small company doesn't listen to their clientel. DON'T BUY ONE. Would give zero chilis if I could. |

| Bottom Line: | If you suffer from numbness, do yourself a favor and try this seat. It will take a while to get used to it, as now 90% of your weight is on the sit bones (10% on soft tissues), instead of the 70/30% ratio of a traditional seat. So, yes, my butt was sore for the first few rides until I got used to it. If...when you buy one, give it a chance. You will need to readjust to the new weight distribution, but your soft tissues will thank you for it. This is not a plush lazyboy type of seat and I race with mine, even if it is heavier than the SLRs I see the guys running these days. Plus, I am a confirmed clydesdale up over 210 most days, so this seat holds up well for a bigger guy, too. My first saddle is still going strong after two seasons, and I picked up another one this winter for the new bike. When I climb, I'm all over the saddle, front to back and even with the split nose, it's fine. The kevlar corners have held up really well, even after bailing off the bike in crashes. Lastly, I'd just like to thank the folks at Koobi for making this seat. I don't experience any numbness these days, thanks to the great center channel they've cut out of it. |

I explained my dilemma to him. After 30 days it had become softer after it broke in but it wasn't soft enough for rides over 30 miles. Phile talked me into the Tri.....much softer with the gel top. If you're under 160 this saddle might be good. I'm 185 and the sit bones and region became numb/sore. Try the Tri.... |

| Bottom Line: | I liked this saddle a lot over-all, but the padding is not thick and/or firm enough for my 210 lbs, as soon as I sat on it, my "sit-bones" sank straight to the plastic shell, which needless to say, hurt. I liked the shape of the Au Enduro, just not the padding. I don't "love" my Body Geometry Sport, but its going back on, as a compromise saddle, until someone makes a clydesdale specific seat for us ageing baby-boomers and young high school line backer types. I think if I was lighter, the overall rating might have been four or five chilis, but because Koobi said this saddle should have worked for someone of my weight and it didn't, I'm going to give it three chilis(good.) It did after all have really nice materials and workmanship. |

| Bottom Line: | Great saddle for protecting your privates. It does take awhile (like two or three rides) to get used to the way it fits. But whenever you transfer the pressure from the center of the seat (over a wider area) to the outside (smaller area) you get pressure focused to your seat bones. Hurts a little bit the first ride or so, then you body adjusts and it feels great. I love this saddle! |

| Bottom Line: | The best saddle I have ever had for the kind of riding I do. I have had two Au Enduros and I could not be more pleased. They are flat comfortable and the split seat design simply works and does what it is supposed to. No numbness of the nether regions. I have ridden my current saddle over 1200 miles so far this year, all off road, one 5 day self supported trip on the White Rim Trail, an eight day trip to Copper Canyon in Mexico and 4 days on the North Rim of Grand Canyon. Multiple, long days in the saddle with no problems. The company's customer servcice is the best I've ever found regardless of the product. I initially thought I wanted a Aeon, what ever the multicolored chi chi model is but after they found out my size, 6'4" and 210#'s and the kind of epic riding I like to do, they steered me toward the Au Enduro which turned out to be perfect for me. They are more like talking to a good friend on the phone rather than a complete stranger. Obviously there are lighter saddles to be had but I doubt if there is better saddle for the weight,comfort, and durability than the Koobi. The bottom line, it is a great product and a great company. |

| Bottom Line: | This is by far the most comfortable saddle I have ever used. After years of riding and trying to find comfort, this is it. Such a simple effective design, fits well everywhere, no numbnees nor "taint" pressure. I can't beleive that all the other saddle makers in the world are still in business. To me, this saddle is that good. I am getting one for my roadie. I know, I know, saddles are all personal preferrence . But that only holds up to a point. When a saddle is uncomfortable, everyone thinks it is uncomforatble, and vice versa. So, basically, a saddle has to have the right design for it to be comforatbale for anyone, and this design is pretty damn good. After all, we all have the same respective parts down there...I think! |
