Weaknesses: padding could be a little softer
Bike Setup: Scott nitrous 20, stock except for seat grips and pedals.

      Strengths: Comfortable. Durable.
Weaknesses: A little heavy. Have to set seat WAY back for proper positioning.
Similar Products Tried: Love seat (too wide). Various Italian seats (look nice, feel terrible). Brooks (no, they don't 'break in' after 1000 miles).
Bike Setup: Currently? Cove Stiffee w/Sherman Firefly.
Bottom Line: Of the many saddles I've tried over the years, I find this to be the most transparent. Seat is long, not that wide, and generously padded. Comfy from day one. Looks good, too. No complaints so far. Will see how the rails hold up, but I weigh 185 and have been thrashing it pretty hard. Had to position the seat as far back on seatpost as possible to get good seating position. No setback on Thompson post.

Tried a Love Seat but it was pretty awful. Too wide.

Strengths: Really comfortable seat good strong kevlar fabric. Firm but no discomfort at all.
Weaknesses: the Rails and Azonics (oneal) warrantee department.
Similar Products Tried: The saddle that came on my Kona Kahuna, the saddle that came on my 04Specialized Bighit and $5 Thompson Comp.
Bike Setup: The saddle was on my 03 Kona Kahuna, currently riding a 04 Specialized Bighit Comp
Bottom Line: Oneals warrantee department flatly refused to replace the seat when one of the rails bent after 2 rides. They refused to accept that there could by something wrong with the manufacture or material without even seeing the saddle and eventually just stopped replying to my Emails. Thier 1st 2 emails said that they would replace the seat no problem and then when the wholesaler went back to them to get the replacement Rich Walsh refused it. I replaced the seat with a $5 Thompson Comp out of the bargain bin at my local bike shop and it has been totally fine for months. This seat is really good if the rails dont bend, I know people who ride them in downhill competition and they have had no problem but if you are lookign for any after support after Oneal have got your money off you then you will be out of luck.
I found that the 2 times that I got to ride this saddel that it was very firm but soooooo comfortable, didnt get sore at all. I really would like another one of these but I wont spend that kind of money again for fear it will fail again and I wont get any support from them again.

Strengths: Comfortable without being cumbersome, STRONG chromoly 8mm rails, reasonable price, durable Kevlar/Armortex cover, looks sweet.
Weaknesses: You might have fitment problems with seatposts not intended for larger 8 or 9mm seat rails.
Similar Products Tried: WTB, Azonic, Selle Italia.
Bike Setup: 1998 Raleigh M7500i, Jr. T, Vanilla RC, XT/LX, Sun Mammoth, WTB MotoRaptor 2.4, Diabolus stem, bar, and post, Azonic saddle, Real Seal DH headset, M646 pedals.
Bottom Line: I've had this seat for over four months and nothing is wrong with it except the logo is starting to wear off, which has happened on every seat I've had. I can't believe the overall rating posted here. I feel this is an artificially low rating. If you disregard a few really negative reviews from some extremely abusive and/or irresponsible riders and the overall rating would be much higher.

Fellas, if you weigh 200+ pounds and are jumping off the roof of your house, things are going to break or bend. No company is going to guarantee their products for that kind of abuse; you should feel lucky they are offering to replace your rails with chromoly kit. I weigh 155 pounds and regularly do 6 to 8 feet vertical drops and haven't had any problems with my seat. Bottom line: this is a great seat that has gotten a bad rap.

Strengths: Great for Freeriding and Downhilling. Suprisingly comfortable for the size. easier to steer the bike when downhilling (you can really grip this w/ the legs).
Weaknesses: STEEL RAILS!!!! Very Bad, and the manufacturer now knows this.
      Similar Products Tried: Connex
Bike Setup: Iron Horse Expert. aftermarket parts in the Sherman Breakout.
Bottom Line: The seat is sweet, but you absolutely must get the new chromoly rails. Most of them on the market are steel rails and the difference is huge. The first day I used this was for a day of downhilling, dropped of a 3 footer amd the rails completely buckled upwards and bent sideways. It really sucked, because it was now junk after 6 hours of use. Called Azonic and they said they are now upgrading all these seats to the chromoly rails, so DO NOT GET THE STEEL RAILS!

Good news, I called Azonic and they told me to send them the seat and they would install new chromoly rails, or give me a new one with the chrmoly rails already in place.

Similar Products Tried: Loads of stuff
Bike Setup: Santa Cruz Chameleon, Shiver SCs, Race Face widgets.
Bottom Line: I originally bought the Azonic one, after seeing it in a couple of mags, figured out the stupid looking oval rails dont fit in a Race Face XY seatpost (by looking at the clamp, not by trying to wedge an oval peg in a round hole, like someone on here did), went back the the bike shop, which I work for, and switched it for the Setlaz version (off of a factory spec Norco Drop). Its exactly the same saddle, made by the same people, only the setlaz one has standard chromoly rails, thank god I did. I do lots of 5-6 foot drops onto flat concrete, packs of stairs, few gaps, off road, on road, commute. Ive stacked it on gravel dirt grass concrete everything. All Ive got is a scuff in the kevlar the writings come off.

To all you people who snapped there dumb ass alu rails, ask Azonic to give you one from the people who actually make the bulk of it before its been Azonified....people who want the big AZONIC sticker will have to stand permanantly while cycleing. My score is only valid if you can get yourself a chromoly railed one.
