      Duration Product Used: 1 Year
Strengths: Large variety of adjustments is available, nice stuff while it works: pretty sensitive, nice rebound characteristics, doesn't weight a ton and all the stuff that make a rear shock good.
Weaknesses: Broke after 1 year of light use... The lockout died in about 1 month.
Similar Products Tried: 5th Element, Rock Shox Super Deluxe, Shock Works DH
Bottom Line: It's really disappointing... No one should buy and no one should manufacture weak products like this.

      Duration Product Used: 3 months
Strengths: It looks like a back shock.
Weaknesses: Rebound is way to fast. Rebound control doesn't work. IT SUCKS!
      Bike Setup: 04 Jr.T fork.
Bottom Line: I hate it. I tried to suck up a jump I was goind off and the shock sent my front down and my back up. I went over the bars and cut every part of my upper body. I am calling Fox Racing Shox and buying a different shox once I heal. Stupid shox.

Strengths: It does what it supposed too
      Weaknesses: Zero.... suprise suprise.....
      Similar Products Tried: Fox shocks
      Bike Setup: KHS Fetish
Bottom Line: After reading all the horrible reviews I was expecting to get a P.O.S but to be honest the shocks works quite well. I'am happy with it eats the small stuff and it doest bottom out on the jumps I'am taking with it. The Lock-out is a nice touch 45lbs of downhill bike, makes for a far better climber.

This shock kicks ass especially for the price($250aud)

Strengths: None, the spring is the only thing worth salvaging.
      Weaknesses: Everything.
Similar Products Tried: Nothing, anything is better, even a stick would hold together longer.
Bike Setup: 2001 KHS DH-50 Fetish stock exept 2003 Jr.T with Marzocchi QR20 hub.
Bottom Line: I went to hit a drop on my bike and the stroke arm SNAPPED. I now have 2 busted ribs, a brokes ass bone, a broken leg and arm (6' drop). I am calling KHS and telling them I want my money back.

I think Club roost are supplying a different shock with this frame now......not hard to see why

      Strengths: is there any?
      Weaknesses: Lockout/rebound/shaft
      Similar Products Tried: Fox/Romic
Bike Setup: Custom KHS fetish, nothing stock except the shocks which is the only peices i'm having problems with.
Bottom Line: this shock is a POS if u ride moderate to hard dont buy this shock, first off the lockout slowly began to gain more bounce the longer i used it till it stopped working, than a couple weeks after that my rebound adjustments start to only work occasionally, sometimes i'd have rebound control sometimes it wouldn't, a couple weeks after this problem the entire shaft just snaps in half. Dont buy this shock if u plan to jump more than 1 foot in the air, the shaft snapped when i didn't even get to make it to a jump that particular day.

Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month
      Purchased At: Came on frame
      Strengths: Absolutely None
      Weaknesses: Extremely poor quality
      No warranty or service available
Similar Products Tried: Stratos Helix Pro
      Other DNM junk
Bike Setup: 2000 Viking Thor LS :), Rock Shox Psylo SL, XT Drivetrain, Raceface stem, bar, seatpost, Stratos Helix Pro Shock, Mavic 517's, Selle Italia Flite Gel Ti
Bottom Line: Obviously, ths is a very poor shock. This shock broke on my frame the night that I finished assembling all the components. I didn't even ride it 10 feet!! The worst part is that I had a friend that bought the same frame, and he was kind enough to allow me to use his shock, and that one broke the same day that I installed it!! I e-mailed everyone that I could find at DNM and there was absolutely no positive response. They just told me to "take it to the LBS for repair." If someone wants you to have this shock, make sure that THEY are paying YOU, and not the other way around. This doesn't even deserve one flamin' chili.

Weaknesses: range of adjustment is low and is only rebound no separate compression adjustment, the shock fell apart after three days of riding. The shock piston stripped out of the rebound adjustment assembly - poor manual
      Bike Setup: khs fetish dh
Bottom Line: The shock is a POS. I really can't put it any other way, sorry.

FavoriteTrail: 6 Foot Track - Blue Mountains
      Duration Product Used: 3 months
      Price Paid: $140
      Purchased At: Not applicable
Strengths: Well constructed, compression lockout (unusual for a coil-over), plush, good rebound adjustment range
Weaknesses: Compression lockout still allows some (undampened) movement
Similar Products Tried: DNM A0-1AR, Fox Vanilla R, Rockshox SID
Bike Setup: '99 Giant ATX970, DNM STC12RC rear shock, everything upgraded (XTR/XT/Titec/Sun Rhyno Lite, etc)
Bottom Line: After the previous DNM A0-1AR damping circuit blew for the second time (and was declared economically irreparable) I was offered an upgrade to the ST-12RC at a great price. Only excellent comments about this shock - great adjustment range, plush, very well made & has a compression lockout feature for riding to the trailhead.
The only issue I have is that the compression lockout allows a small amount of (seemingly undampened) rebound control - you must pedal smoothly to eliminate a small bouncing sensation - no big deal. Oh - and you'll kill the damping circuit if you forget to unlock as there's no blow-off protection as per Fox, etc.
