    Favoriate Trail:Over There
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $240.00
    Purchased At:BTI
Strengths:Strong lock out feels just like Hardtail. pretty light. excellent rebound. Easy to pump up. inexpensive. Responsive.
    Weaknesses:None so far
    Similar Products Used:Fox Float R
Bike Setup:Specialized Enduro Pro: RF Evolve DH Crank, FSA xc 300SL wheels, Rock shox Reba Race fork, XT and XTR drive train, Hayes Disk
Bottom Line:Excellent value. I have not experienced a better feeling shock. Everything about it is great especially the lock out. If you’re an XC rider this shock is for you. With a low price tag how could you buy anything else?

    Date Reviewed: November 22, 2007
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Purchased At:OEM bike part
Bottom Line:I had to come back and add a note to my review. The leak problem turned out to be a leaking shrader valve where you fill the shock. It seems many leaked in this manner. A little red loctite on the thread, no more leak.

    Date Reviewed: August 23, 2007
    Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Did adjust out well after break-in. Lock out works well even though I really didn't need it. Rebound adjustment range is good.
Weaknesses:Long break-in period. Lost air after a month or two.
Similar Products Used:none first FS bike for me.
    Bike Setup:4" travel XC
Bottom Line:Liked it till it died a premature death. After only about one and a half months it started to lose air. Slowly at first, now in minutes, it's gone. Haven't contacted RS yet. I never needed to put more than 120PSI in it, you'd think it would have lasted along time since it will take 250PSI max. Guess not.

    Date Reviewed: September 19, 2006
    Favoriate Trail:Rallar Vagen Norway
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Purchased At:Trek Sweden
Strengths:Easy to find lock out switch, pretty easy to maintain.
Weaknesses:Difficult to set at your correct sag, feels like you have a puncture.
    Similar Products Used:None X Hardtail
Bike Setup:XT, XTR with DT Swiss Wheels Bontrager Stem and seatpost.
Bottom Line:Not a bad shock if this is your first buy, beacause I am a hard tail sadist, I tend to have it locked most of the time and feel there is too much bob when locked. Very difficult to set.

Submitted by Stevo a from Sydney, Australia
    Date Reviewed: September 3, 2006
Favoriate Trail:up rocks and down drops...
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Purchased At:stock on Trek fuel 90 (06)
Strengths:Holds air very well, tough, lockout works well, doesn't bottom out easily
Weaknesses:Slightly harsh on small bumps, lockout switch catches on scrub sometimes and switches itself on (this really sucks if it happens at the top of a downhill and you haven't noticed).
    Similar Products Used:Swinger 3-way (tested), Scott genius-thingy
Bike Setup:06 fuel 90, recon351, Thomson duo, candy's, WTB rocket V team, ODI ruffianMX
Bottom Line:Seems like a good shock for the money, particularly if you are fairly XC oriented. I tend to do more trail/light freeride stuff so I have the sag set at 10% to avoid bottoming out on bigger drops. After 12 months I am about to give it its first service as it is starting to get a bit stiff probably due to dry seals; considering I mostly ride in dry, sandy conditions I think this is a pretty low-maintenance shock. Perhaps not the plushest for epics, but a good, reliable and generally hassle free shock. Recommended if you can get one reasonably cheap.
