Strengths: Awesome amount of GRIP, Extremely Thin, My friend who is a heavier Freerider has had his for a year doing many drops so I would say they are extremely strong!
Weaknesses: If you buy for color which is part of my biggest weakness when building a bike, The Red Anodizing that comes on these looks PINK not red, I have owned many anodized red pedals and they were red! This is why I gave them aways as a gift and bought a pair of sick RED DANGERBOY wide pedals!

      Duration Product Used: 2 Years
      Price Paid: $110
      Purchased At: chain reaction
Strengths: bomb proof, 2 years and still on the same bearings and second bike. Still have the extra pins except one that broke. Best platforms I have ever had in about 12 years of MTB.
      Weaknesses: None
Similar Products Tried: every type of platform out there
      Bike Setup: Endro sl pro
Bottom Line: These are great peds. I am not sure if the old style had crappy bearings but the have done right by me. I put about 40-50 mile a month on everything from ide xc the low level freeriding and they have yet to fail. They shed mud as good as any I have used. recommend some type of skate style shoe like 661 taki launch when using these.

Strengths: Sticky as hell with real strong pins.
Weaknesses: Axle was a little loose after picking 'em up from lbs. Tightened, then lock tighted 'em. fine now.

Bottom Line: Well, they're pedals. They work. The bearings are still rolling after a year of abuse in the Canadian northeast, despite all other reports to the contrary. Maybe there was a bad batch of bearings and that's what all the whining below is about? As well, it's your gear: check it before you ride it. Assuming some crackhead parts assembler in Guam gives a damn about bolt tension is a recipe for disaster.

      Duration Product Used: 1 Year
      Price Paid: $70
Purchased At: Peak Performance (I get deals there)
Strengths: have an awesome feel under foot, strong everything except bearings
Weaknesses: the bearings explode, they seriously explode sending the pedal body off of the spindle (in my case, it happened when I was in a full speed sprint back to my dorm) and then it takes atomic literally 3 months to replace the bearings. I wonder if they don't pay extra to send them slower than normal.
Similar Products Tried: most every pedal out there
      Bike Setup: straight up urban
Bottom Line: basically, I think they pedals would be perfect if the bearings didn't suck so badly. I wouldn't pay the $70 again for them, but I'm just going to buy a bunch of the $2 bearings and replace them when they get sloppy. In case your wondering, the model # for the bearing is z969. Basically, they'd be perfect if it weren't for the bearings, and the fact that atomic has insanely slow service. Unless you want to put that much effort into a pair of f***ing pedals, they're not worth it. I feel bad giving them an overall less than 4 because everything but the bearings is perfect, but the bearings and customer service kill the value.

      Price Paid: $100
      Purchased At: Traded
      Strengths: Thin profile
Weaknesses: Not as grippy as some less expensive and stronger products. Bearing failure results in pedal flying off spindle.
Similar Products Tried: Wellgo B-37, various other flats.
Bike Setup: AC1, Jr T, Stratos Helix Expert, Magura Gustav
Bottom Line: I liked these pedals until they started to rattle. Called Atomlab in February, asked for a new set of bearnings. 'No problem, they're in the mail'. Didn't arrive. Riding in Vancouver in March, pedal flies off spindle. Call Atomlab. 'No problem, they're in the mail'. Didn't arrive. Called again in April and May. Same answer, some lame excuse about just having stock in, 'We'll put them on UPS this afternoon' - weeks ago. Didn't arrive. The pedals break, Atomlab doesn't honour their warranty. Instead of buying these pedals, buy three sets of B-37s and chuck 'em when the spindle bends - they're grippier and they'll last longer.

Bike Setup: Supercross MX, Profile cranks

Strengths: They are the grippiest flat pedals on the market.
Weaknesses: Pedals won't stay on the spindles. I'm no engineer, but methinks there is a design flaw here!
Similar Products Tried: Azonic A-frames, Wellgo flats, Shimano 424's
Bike Setup: M1 w/ Avalanche shock, Super T, Intense wheels w/ Hugi hubs.
Bottom Line: I purchased these pedals because I wanted the best flat pedals that money could buy...nothing is too good for my bike. Anyway, I fell in love with the pedals on my first ride - mainly because of the extreme grip that they provide. In fact, they grip almost as well as clipless pedals. Here is where all of the accolades end. After about two months of hard riding -- downhill and freeride -- the right pedal slipped right off the spindle. Thank god I was riding around the street at the time. Imagine if I had been out dirt jumping or doing drops! Furthermore, the exact same thing happened to my riding buddy on his Trailkings. I have never been so disappointed with any single mountain bike product as I have with these pedals. Needless to say, I will never purchase another product from Atomic Laboratories. All of these pedals should be RECALLED IMMEDIATELY as they may cause serious injuries. All of you out there who have had similar problems should voice your opinions...espcially to Atomic!

Bottom Line: These pedals suck, 2 times I got caught with the pedal cage sliding right off the spindle in the middle of a ride. Bottom Line: Awesome pedals! I got these because I twisted my knee pretty bad when my shimano spuds failed to release. I'd reccomend these to any one that's looking for a top notch freeride/downhill pedal. These things will take the abuse. Couple them with a good paif of shoes and you'll feel like you're clipped in.
