Strengths:
Patented 4:1 carb/protein mixture, great taste, plenty of flavors from which to choose
Weaknesses:
Never leave a used gel pack in your Camelbak...ants!
Similar Products Used:
GU, Cytomax gel, PowerGel, Clif Shot...all taste like paste
Bike Setup:
Specialized S-Works Stumpjumper FSR
Bottom Line:
After tasting different gels out there, Accel Gel is the only one that doesn't have a strong aftertaste and has a much lighter texture. It's not so "paste" like and smooth going down. I chose this purely based on the non-gag effect. I've purchased boxes of these from different online retailers and it usually averages about $1.00/pack. Just do a little shopping. As far as effect of ingredients, I don't feel any different than the other gels, however, it is the only gel that I look forward to tasting. Try the Lime!
