from Cleveland, Ohio Date Reviewed: August 8, 2001 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | Great on RockShox Judy forks. | | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | Bearing grease. | | Bottom Line: | This stuff works! I haven't been biking a whole lot (compared to a lot of people). I probably do about 20 miles of riding a week. I have Judy Forks and i only use a little of the butter maybe once a week. But if I ride a lot, I'll use it when I get home. All I do is wipe off the old stuff and put a little on. It works for me. But you'll have to try it for your self. Oh and by the way, I bought my forks and they gave me the butter for free so i dont have a problem with the price. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Knoxville, TN Date Reviewed: December 12, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Purchased At: | everywhere | | Strengths: | its OK. Beter than bearing grease | | Weaknesses: | It's not Slick Honey | | Similar Products Used: | Slick honey (rock on!) teflon greases | | Bike Setup: | jamis dragon. custom build | | Bottom Line: | This stuff was OK back in the day. It helped your sliders work better than bearing grease, but so did regular applications of triflow. I would have given this 3 because of the price, but now there is Sick Honey and nothing else compares. Nothin. And 10 bucks gets you a 16 oz tub of slick honey, while 7 dollars gets you half an oz. of judy butter. Go figure. Ok stuff if youre pressed to use it, otherwise just stay with englund. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from USA Date Reviewed: November 9, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Weaknesses: | Expensive | | Bottom Line: | This stuff is decent as I used to use it before Slick honey was available, but wanna know a little secret? Most of these anti-stiction lubes are a combination of Petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and synthetic oil. I use a little product called Anthony' Secret Sauce (A.S.S.), it was a tip by a major fork manufacturer (who will remain unnamed) for racing applications in the ratio of 1/3 parts Mobil 1 synthetic 15w50 and 2/3 parts generic petroleum jelly (As the generic types tend to be "greasier" than Vaseline which is more solid, but your results may vary) to save money. I personally have used that formula on my Marzocchi Bombers, and Manitous and it is AWESOME. While it might be hard to create a product exactly like Slick honey, it will definately beat the other lubes and will save you a ton of money!

from Ohio Date Reviewed: June 4, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Strengths: | Works better than anything else | | Weaknesses: | None | | Bottom Line: | This stuff is absolutely great! I had an old shock which hardly even traveled 1mm. I took it apart and out judy butter all over it and it works better than when it was new! Best stuff ever, only $3.50 too! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

It was made for the fork, and isn't that expensive. I picked up a little white container of it for like $2-$3, and I've used MAYBE half of it, on 700+ miles of riding. Quit the price complaining.

from Anchorage, AK Date Reviewed: July 27, 1999 | | Duration Product Used: | 1 Year | | Strengths: | slick as snot | | Weaknesses: | expensive | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bike Setup: | '97 Indy SL | | Bottom Line: | This review is of the old yellow Judy Butter, not the newer, sticky, designed-for-oil-bath-forks stuff. After I took apart my Indy and used about half a tub of Judy Butter, it worked a whole lot better than it did with whatever the factory did to it. The grease seems slightly thinner and more slick than bearing type greases which makes it seem less water and dirt proof, but I think this allows the upper legs to slide across the bushings faster. I'm only giving four stars 'cuz I haven't tried anything else, and because the new Judy Butter really sucks. | Overall Rating: |
