$100.00 | | Purchased At: | direct from Roach | | Strengths: | Great jacket. Tough and well made. XALT fabric seems very durable and is about as much jacket as you'd ever need in Austin Texas. Arm zippers are heavy duty. Good reflective trim. | | Weaknesses: | Main front zipper is a little weaker than the arm zipper (seems strong enough, but not "bomb proof.") Roach was VERY slow in getting it to me and not very communicative. | | Similar Products Used: | Nothing similar that I've seen in the market. | | Bike Setup: | Santa Cruz Superlight | | Bottom Line: | Great jacket. Roach told me it would take three weeks to get it. Took more like 2 months. Not a very responsive company. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$135.00 | | Purchased At: | Roach | | Strengths: | Beautiful jacket (I'm constantly getting compliments from non-biking people - happened again this morning at my doctor's office), impecable workmanship, beautiful fit. Customer service - Ingrid has been so helpful. Love the ability to zip open the sleeves a bit for some ventilation, or zipping them off completely to wear as vest. Jacket is so cool that I now have to buy one for my hubby! | | Weaknesses: | None. Although the jacket was a bit expensive, the workmanship is amazing! Also, I like the fact that I'm purchasing from and supporting a small company. Please don't let what happened to Swobo happen to Roach! We all don't like wearing shiny, brightly colored clothes! | | Similar Products Used: | None really. | | Bike Setup: | 2001 Ellsworth Truth, Marzocchi X-Fly, Race Face Turbine LP crankset, Race Face bb, Avid brakes and levers, XT/XT, XTR shifters, Easton Monkey Lite Bars, Thomson Seatpost, etc. | | Bottom Line: | Love the jacket! Can't say anymore than that! I'm going to be purchasing some additional Roach items asap! Thanks Ingrid. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$100.00 | | Purchased At: | From Manufacturer - Bulk Buy | | Strengths: | Roach's Ultra Jacket is the ideal jacket for any rider at any level. It's very durable and the removable sleeves make it wearable for any weather condition. The racing stripes on the sleeves, chest and back work well at night for others to see you. The customer service I received from the company was exceptional. I sent the jacket to get repaired and had it back in my possession within three weeks. The jacket has a good sized zippered pocket on the back, and velcro straps on the cuffs. It uses you natural body warmth to insulate your body against the cold, which works well in chilly Prince George, BC. | | Weaknesses: | There has been only one problem with this jacket. The stitching on the sleeves can sometimes come apart, so I sent it back to Roach and they fixed the problem very quickly and were very friendly in doing so. Another weakness I have noticed is that if you wear the jacket to a movie, etc. you will find that you will get too warm wearing it. Simple solution: Take off you jacket when you're inside. | | Bottom Line: | If you are looking for a good jacket for riding in any type of weather, I recommend the Roach Ultra Jacket. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
